The difference between Dwight Howard and DeAndre Jordan is enormous, just an example of the leg up you can enjoy compared to the guard and forward positions. Barea are all gone from the championship club of a year ago. Lamar Odom, Vince Carter and Delonte West will try to fill those lost minutes. Brendan Haywood moves back into the starting center spot with Shawn Marion starting at the three. Jason Terry will continue to serve as one of the top sixth man scorers in the Association. Much like the NFL this summer, NBA free agency will be packed into a short period as teams hustle for a Christmas Day tip off. Beginning on Friday December 9th, clubs may begin signing free agents to fill out their opening day rosters. Teams will be looking to create cap space by utilizing the new amnesty clause which enables clubs to shed bad contracts. Teams may match offer sheets signed by unrestricted free agents.
