Samuel Dalembert said in an interview recently that it will be tough to sign with the Heat for $5 million, while the Rockets look like his ideal destination. "Houston, that one is the best," said Dalembert. "I'm interested in the Rockets. They have a good team over there, a running team." They are also a team with a gaping hole at center and money to spend. They've also talked to Nene, and it looks like they're going to get one of the top free agent center options when this is all said and done.

The Heat are interested in signing Samuel Dalembert, but it's doubtful that'd he'd accept the mid-level exception with more lucrative offers available. Dalembert all but confirmed this to former Kings beat writer Sam Amick -- Amick said he couldn't see Sammy signing for $5 million per season, to which Dalembert laughed and replied, "Anybody ever tell you you're too smart for your own good?"

Unrestricted free agent Samuel Dalembert said in a recent interview that he would love to play for the Miami Heat, who are currently staring at Joel Anthony (again) as their starting center. Dalembert said all the right things regarding joining the Super Friends in Miami, which is just a couple hours from his homeland of Haiti, and an hour from his house in Boca Raton. Joining the Heat "would be fantastic," Dalembert said Sunday. "What is best for you might not be for the most money," he added, hinting that he might sign for the mid-level exception. "All the Haitian people I talk to say, 'You have to come to Miami,"' he continued. It's far from a done deal, and while he mentioned the Knicks and Rockets as possibilities, the Heat seem to be in the lead for Dalembert's services at this point.

The Kings "have expressed interest" in re-signing Samuel Dalembert, but may not acquiesce to his contract demands. Sammy is an unrestricted FA and the Kings have a solid young frontcourt trio in DeMarcus Cousins, J.J. Hickson and Jason Thompson, so we're not expecting to see him in a Kings jersey. The Knicks, Heat, Raptors and Rockets are all reportedly in the mix for Dalembert.

Samuel Dalembert, an unrestricted free agent, is expected to be pursued by the Kings, as well as the Knicks, Heat, Raptors and Rockets. And given the fact the Kings picked up J.J. Hickson earlier on Thursday, their need for Dalembert is decreased. Dalembert could really help any of the aforementioned teams and we'd be surprised to see him end up back with the Kings as of now.

There is a "strong sense" within the Kings organization that free agent Samuel Dalembert wants out, according to the Sac Bee. Dalembert was apparently "seething" in the locker room following the season finale after being replaced by DeMarcus Cousins. As an unrestricted free agent, Dalembert will have no trouble finding a new home. The Heat, Knicks and plenty of others will have significant interest in the shot blocker. Cousins and Jason Thompson project as starters on the Kings' front line.
