Gobert should benefit from at least a few more touches on the offensive end for the foreseeable future while Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) remains weeks away from a return.

A boost in the scoring department would be a welcome sign to fantasy managers who roster Gobert, as there's been some disappointment in his output this season -- both his 11.8 boards and 1.3 blocks per contest are well below the standards he has set over the past several campaigns.

Gobert nearly had a double-double by halftime, recording 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field to go along with eight boards over the first two quarters. After failing to score a point in the third quarter, he went 4-of-5 for eight points in the final period while also grabbing five second-half rebounds to notch his second straight double-double. The Wolves center is shooting 65.4 percent from the field in three games to start this month, averaging 14.7 points and 12.7 rebounds over that stretch.

Gobert produced 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-5 FT), 21 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and three steals in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 121-115 victory over the Pacers.

EDGE Analysis

Gobert took things to another level Wednesday, serving up his best performance of the season. The departure of Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) has certainly presented Gobert with a fantastic opportunity. With less competition on the boards, his rebounding numbers should be able to return to more like what we are used to seeing. A few more shot opportunities, as well as space on the defensive end, could result in Gobert putting together a strong stretch, rewarding those managers who showed patience early in the season.
