Sacre was waived by the Pelicans Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Sacre had been battling a foot injury through training camp, and his inability to get on the court ultimately cost him a chance at making the team. Sacre has been unable to be a legitimate contributor in the NBA and will likely find a better opportunity for playing time in the D-League or overseas.

Sacre (foot) sat out Thursday's 114-111 preseason loss to the Magic.
EDGE Analysis
Sacre, who had been battling a sore foot for much of the preseason, was listed as probable heading into the game, but didn't end up playing in what was a coach's decision. While that's an indication Sacre is reasonably healthy, it also shows that he's not under serious consideration for a roster spot. Look for him to get cut after the Pelicans wrap up their preseason schedule Friday against the Timberwolves.

Sacre (foot) is listed as probable for Thursday's preseason finale versus the Magic.
EDGE Analysis
Sacre has seen action in just one preseason game thus far, but will have one last chance to make an impression on the coaching staff Thursday with roster cuts for the regular season looming. Barring a spectacular conclusion to the preseason schedule, Sacre will likely start the 2016-17 campaign in the D-League or overseas.

Sacre (foot) will not play in Tuesday's preseason matchup with the Hawks, Pelicans studio host Daniel Sallerson reports.
EDGE Analysis
It will be the fourth straight absence for Sacre, who continues to battle a right foot injury. The former Gonzaga standout faced an uphill battle to crack the Pelicans' roster out of camp, and the injury has mostly prevented him from helping his cause. His final chance to take the floor will come in Thursday's preseason finale against the Magic.

Sacre (foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday's preseason game against the Rockets, Justin Verrier of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sacre will now officially miss his fourth preseason game, which has significantly lowered his chances of making the Pelican's final roster come the start of the regular season. Even if Sacre is healthy enough to play towards the end of the preseason, his time in New Orleans will likely be coming to an end in two weeks when final roster cuts need to be made.

Sacre sat out Sunday's 123-117 preseason loss to the Rockets due to a right foot injury, Daniel Sallerson of Pelicans.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sacre has only played in one of the Pelicans' three preseason games and likely wouldn't have seen the court if he happened to be healthy for Sunday's contest, as coach Alvin Gentry tightened his rotation and played only 10 players. With Alexis Ajinca and Omer Asik ahead of him on the depth chart at center and Anthony Davis more than capable of sliding over from power forward to play the position when necessary, it's unlikely that Sacre will earn a spot on the 15-man roster when preseason play concludes.

Sacre signed a training camp deal with the Pelicans on Thursday, Marc Stein of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old center has spent his entire four-year career with the Lakers, who drafted him with the last pick of the 2012 NBA Draft. He was a minimal contributor for the Lakers during the 2015-16 campaign, playing in just 25 games, while averaging 3.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.4 blocks over 13 minutes per outing. If he makes the final roster, he should provide depth behind the likes of Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca in the frontcourt.

Sacre played eight minutes and contributed five points (1-1 FG, 3-4 FT) and three rebounds over eight minutes in Tuesday's 103-81 loss to the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Sacre actually outproduced starting center Roy Hibbert (zero points, four rebounds in 16 minutes), but that isn't that hard to do these days. Hibbert's been a massive disappointment in a starting role this season, but coach Bryon Scott has shown no inclination to drop him from the top unit. As a result, Sacre will continue to languish as a lightly-used third-string option at center behind Hibbert and Tarik Black.

Sacre scored 10 points (5-5 FG) and added five rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes during the Lakers' 106-98 loss to the Kings on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After seeing the court only three times during February, this was Sacre's first game action in March. Given the fact that he sat out the previous seven contests despite being healthy, it's safe to leave Sacre on waiver wires.

Sacre will get the start Monday against the Pacers, Baxter Holmes of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Roy Hibbert (ankle) has been ruled out, so coach Byron Scott will tab Sacre to make his first start of the season. Sacre has been used sparingly this season and has played double-digit minutes in only one game since Christmas. The Gonzaga product is best avoided in daily contests, as it's likely both Brandon Bass and Tarik Black will see considerable run at center, as well.
