Robert Sacre flopped in his second start at center on Sunday, finishing with two points, one rebound and zero blocks in 10 minutes.
Mike D'Antoni's rotations have relegated Chris Kaman to DNP-CD status and quickly reduced Jordan Hill (11 points in 20 minutes) to an afterthought, so it's not shocking to see Sacre with such limited playing time. His career average of 5.7 fouls per 36 minutes is a large part of the problem -- he was benched with two quick fouls in the first few minutes on Sunday and never regained his footing. Kobe Bryant's return will send shockwaves throughout L.A.'s rotations and standard-league owners are better off watching Sacre from a distance.

Mike D'Antoni suggested that Robert Sacre may stick as the Lakers' new starting center.
Chris Kaman (back) has fallen out of the rotation, D'Antoni feels that Jordan Hill is better suited to a reserve role, and Shawne Williams has settled in with the second unit. That leaves Sacre with a nice shot to keep his job, and he impressed D'Antoni despite getting into foul trouble during his first-ever start on Friday. "I thought he played well the whole game," said D'Antoni. "He had some big stops on [Demarcus] Cousins. And I thought for the first time [starting] he looked really good." Fantasy owners should be ready to pounce on Sacre, who could become a reliable source of blocks, rebounds and a high-percentage points.

Robert Sacre started at center on Friday against the Kings, scoring 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting with five rebounds and two blocks in 17 minutes.
Sacre has size and mild athleticism to go with similarly pedestrian offensive skills, but when you put it all together it wouldn't be surprising if he eventually lands on the fantasy radar when an opportunity presents itself. Keep an eye on him over the next few games to see if he can expand on his role, and likewise whether Chris Kaman and/or Jordan Hill find themselves hurt or on the outs. For now he's an extremely speculative add for center-needy owners in deep formats.

Robert Sacre will start at center for the Lakers against the Kings on Friday.
Jordan Hill will come off the bench and his minutes were trending down before tonight, playing just 15.0 minutes per game over his last two. Hill did have some injuries, but coach Mike D'Antoni said he likes Sacre's defense and he'll let Hill play in shorter bursts. Hill probably isn't a must-own player anymore, but he should still have a chance to produce off the bench tonight. Sacre is worth a look in deep leagues.

Lakers big man Robert Sacre notched multiple career-highs on Sunday with 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks in just 24 bench minutes.
To say this came out of nowhere is an understatement -- he was averaging 2.0 points in five appearances before Sunday's game, but suddenly looked like a stud while scoring on easy passes from Steve Blake, Nick Young and Xavier Henry. Sacre may well become a reliable part of the Lakers' bench rotation but it's hard to foresee him having value outside of the deepest leagues.

Lakers re-sign Robert Sacre.
Sacre was a restricted free agent and was never going anywhere else. He'll make the league minimum and will attempt to eke out some minutes off the end of the Lakers' bench. He has no fantasy value.

The Lakers have extended a qualifying offer to Robert Sacre.
This means Sacre is officially a restricted free agent and his rights remain under the Lakers' control. The Lakers would be entitled to draft-pick compensation if Sacre signed with another team.

The Lakers recalled Robert Sacre and Darius Morris from the D-League on Thursday.
Sacre has been known more for his cheer leading than anything else, which obviously doesn't translate to a usable fantasy value.

Lakers assigned C Robert Sacre to the D-League.
The Lakers have seven games in the next 11 days, so there won't be much time for practice. Sacre will be better served getting some playing time in the minors.
