With Darius Garland (rest) out for Friday's preseason finale, Neto gets the nod in the starting lineup. Garland isn't expected to miss the regular-season opener, so Neto will likely return to backup point guard duties next Wednesday against the Raptors.

Neto has taken over the role of Washington's starting point guard since the trade deadline, and while he hasn't been able to score in double digits in five of his last six appearances, it's worth noting that he's dished out at least five dimes in three of those contests. His role as a starter might be enough reason to target him in deep formats, but he hasn't done enough in terms of production of late. He's averaging 7.9 points, 4.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game across seven appearances this month.

Neto's availability heading into the week was in question after he exited early in the Wizards' previous game Sunday with a left ankle injury, but the two straight off days provided sufficient time for him to heal up. As usual, Neto maintained his spot in the starting five, but he continues to play under 30 minutes while Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. keeps reserves Ish Smith and Tomas Satoransky involved at point guard. The lack of reliable playing time from game to game coupled with his low-usage role relative to most starting point guards renders Neto a low-end option in 12- and 14-team leagues.

Neto (ankle) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Clippers.

As expected, Neto will avoid missing any time with the ankle injury that forced him out of Sunday's game against the Pacers. He went through a full practice Tuesday and should be available for a full workload.
