Patterson will move into the starting lineup for Saturday's Game 3 against the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
The Raptors' offense has struggled for the duration of the playoffs, so coach Dwane Casey will mix things up and go with Patterson at power forward Saturday. DeMarre Carroll will shift down to small forward, while Norman Powell moves to the bench. Through the first two games of the series, Patterson has accumulated just four points, five rebounds and an assist in 35 total minutes.

Patterson put up two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, and one assist across 18 minutes in Tuesday's 102-96 overtime loss to the Heat in Game 1 of the series.
EDGE Analysis
After starting the final three games of the Raptors' first-round series with the Pacers, Patterson moved back to the bench in favor of Norman Powell and saw his minutes decline accordingly. He saw his fewest court time of any of the Raptors' eight postseason games to date and could be at risk of falling under 20 minutes with regularity in the second round if coach Dwane Casey chooses to embrace more undersized lineups.

Patterson will come off the bench for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Heat, John Schuhmann of NBA.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Raptors plan on using a small lineup Tuesday, so they'll insert Norman Powell into the starting lineup and bring Patterson off the bench. In the Raptors' seven-game series against the Pacers in round one, Patterson averaged 8.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists over 27 minutes per outing. He could see a slight decrease in playing time by coming off the bench during Tuesday's outing, although most likely he'll still see minutes in the mid-to-upper-20's.

Patterson provided seven points (3-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds, and one assist in 26 minutes during the Raptors' 102-99 win against the Pacers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Patterson stepped into the starting lineup in place of Luis Scola, who was a healthy scratch on Tuesday. Patterson actually matched his lowest allotment of minutes for the first round despite starting, but he could earn extended time if he gets hot in Game 6 on Friday. Indiana runs a two-big unit to begin contests, and Patterson's mere presence helped spread the floor for a Toronto unit that had been getting off to really slow starts. Though he didn't have a great game, he figures to draw the start again in Game 6 while Scola might remain buried on the bench.

Patterson will move into the starting lineup for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Patterson has been the more productive option, compared to usual starter Luis Scola, through the first four games of the series, and coach Dwane Casey will move the Kentucky product into the lineup at power forward. The rest of the starting five will remain the same, with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan in the backcourt, DeMarre Carroll at small forward, and Jonas Valanciunas at center. Patterson is averaging 8.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in 25.4 minutes per game for the series.

Patterson scored 16 points (5-7 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT) while adding five rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes off the bench during Saturday's win over the Pelicans.
EDGE Analysis
It looks like he's fully recovered from the ankle injury that cost him two games earlier in the week. Patterson's minutes and production remain dependent on the opponent and game situation, though, which makes it tough to rely on him in most fantasy formats even when he's playing well.

Patterson (ankle) will return to action in Friday's matchup with the Rockets.
EDGE Analysis
Patterson will return to the court after missing the previous two games for the Raptors with an ankle injury. Barring any setbacks, expect him to resume with taking on his usual workload. With the Raptors frontcourt as healthy as it has been recently, Patterson does not hold much value in season long or DFS leagues.

Patterson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Rockets, Raptors radio play by play man Eric Smith reports.
EDGE Analysis
Patterson missed Wednesday's game against the Celtics due to a sore ankle, and he's still bothered by the issue as Friday's matchup approaches. The Raptors will likely wait to see how the ankle reacts during pregame warmups, so Patterson could end up being close to a game-time decision.

Patterson (ankle) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
Patterson's status for Wednesday's game has been all over the place in the past 24 hours. He went through shootaround and was briefly given the green light to play before being shifted back to questionable. Now that he's been ruled out for his second straight game, look for Luis Scola and Jason Thompson to see increased minutes. Patterson should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Rockets.

Updating a previous report, Patterson (ankle) is now being labeled as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Raptors radio play-by-play announcer Eric Smith reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though Patterson was able to practice Tuesday and took part in the Raptors' morning shootaround, early reports of his return appear premature, as coach Dwane Casey simply said "we'll see" when asked if the forward would play Wednesday. Given Patterson's activity the last two days, we'll consider him on the probable side of questionable, so look for him to see around 20-to-30 minutes off the bench in a matchup between two likely Eastern Conference playoff teams.
