The Rockets are expected to sign G Patrick Beverley. Beverley was the 2012 Euro Cup MVP and was a second-round draft pick back in 2009 by the Lakers. He has no fantasy value right now.

Patrick Beverley and Rashad McCants each worked out for the Lakers on Tuesday. The Lakers have worked out McCants in the past, but he's nothing more than training camp fodder. Beverley, who was named MVP of the Eurocup last season, could potentially emerge as a cheap backup shooting guard option if the Lakers choose to go that route.

Patrick Beverley has worked out for the Bulls, Rockets and Cavs this summer. Beverley, who is rumored to be drawing interest from the Bulls, was originally drafted by the Lakers in the second round of the 2009 draft, but he was traded immediately and has yet to play in the NBA. His agent opined that Beverley would be a good fit on the Bulls, but it doesn't sound like the guard is close to a deal with any team at this time.

The Bulls "hope to add one or two" of Patrick Beverley, E'Twaun Moore and Malcolm Thomas. We previously noted that the Bulls were hoping to sign Thomas, but Beverley has played himself onto Chicago's radar and Moore was known to have interest in joining the Bulls in anticipation of being waived by the Rockets. The Bulls will likely fill out the remaining spots on their roster with at least one player from this group, but none are likely to come into sustainable fantasy value.
