Nance (thumb) was a full participant in Saturday's practice and is targeting Monday's matchup against the Clippers for a return.
EDGE Analysis
Nance appeared in just eight games before suffering a broken thumb, causing him to miss the past 11. In his stead, Kyle Kuzma and Julius Randle have seen role increases and have responded well. At the moment, it's unclear how each player's minutes will shake out with the return of Nance to the rotation. Prior to his injury, he was averaging 23.1 minutes per game, Kuzma was averaging 26.8 and Randle was seeing 19.0. Confirmation of Nance's status may arrive after Monday's morning shootaround.

Nance (thumb) did not participate during Tuesday's practice after having one of his wisdom teeth removed Monday, Matthew Moreno of Lakers Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
There's no word of him likely missing additional time due to the surgery. Nance is working his way back from a broken left thumb, with coach Luke Walton saying he should return "soon". While that's relatively vague, the Lakers are reportedly using the team's upcoming off days to get him more practice time. So, a more concrete timetable may be established after that.

Nance (thumb) has progressed to shooting, Bill Oram of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nance underwent surgery in early November after suffering a broken thumb, after which he was assigned a four-to-six week recovery timetable. It's still unlikely he returns before December, though the fact he's progressed to shooting is encouraging. In the meantime, Kyle Kuzma and Julius Randle will seemingly continue holding down the fort at power forward.

Nance (thumb) will undergo surgery Friday and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nance broke his thumb during Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers. In the seven games prior to the injury, Nance was on pace to average career highs in both points (11.1) and rebounds (7.9). That still may be the case when he comes back, but the injury certainly puts a damper on his campaign. In the meantime, Julius Randle and Kyle Kuzma will seemingly absorb most of his role and could make for solid plays in both year-long and daily fantasy while Nance remains in street clothes.

X-rays on Nance's injured left hand revealed a fractured thumb Thursday, Bill Oram of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's a tough break for Nance and the Lakers, as the 24-year-old was beginning to put together a very solid 2017-2018 campaign. Through his first seven games, the 6-foot-9 forward was averaging 11.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game on 60 percent shooting. A timeline for his return hasn't been established, though it's probably safe to assume that Nance will be sidelined for more than a few weeks. Julius Randle and Kyle Kuzma figure to see an uptick in minutes in the starter's absence.

Nance won't return to Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers after suffering a left hand injury, Bill Oram of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nance put up seven points and grabbed five rebounds in 19 minutes before having to exit the game with an apparent left hand injury. The results of his X-rays should become available shortly, at which point we'll get a clearer picture as to the severity of his injury.

Nance provided 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds, three steals and two assists across 27 minutes in Tuesday's 113-93 win over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Nance's scoring total led the first unit, a development that was helped by the third-year forward taking double-digit shot attempts for the first time in three games. The 24-year-old also hit double digits in the scoring column for the first time since that game and brought down double-digit boards for the third time in four contests. Nance's scoring contributions have been somewhat inconsistent, but head coach Luke Walton seems intent on keeping him on the first unit and having Julius Randle come off the bench behind him for the time being.

Nance posted 18 points (8-10 FG, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds and two steals across 24 minutes in Wednesday's 102-99 overtime win over the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
Nance has mostly thrived on the first unit, posting a pair of double-doubles over his first four contests while hitting double digits in the scoring column in three games overall. The Lakers certainly seem to have a good thing going with Nance and Julius Randle serving as a one-two punch at power forward, so the former could continue to serving in a starting capacity for the foreseeable future. With a minutes allotment typically in the mid-20s, Nance should be able consistently offer solid production in the areas of scoring and rebounding.

Nance drew the start at power forward in Thursday's 108-92 loss to the Clippers and tallied 14 points (7-11 FG, 0-2 FT), 12 rebounds and one block across 30 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
With Julius Randle (ribs) still not quite 100 percent, Nance drew the start and ended up producing a team-high rebound total. The third-year forward has shown plenty of flashes throughout his first pair of campaigns, but he's expected to return to the second unit in the near future as soon as Randle is deemed healthy enough to handle a starter's workload. In the interim, Nance is certainly capable of replicating Thursday's effort, and can still serve as a solid source of scoring and rebounding off the bench in deeper formats as well.

Nance is starting at power forward in Thursday's game against the Clippers, Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Nance will draw the start at the four-spot in the Lakers' season opener. The young forward showed signs of promise during the 2016-17 season, averaging 7.1 points and 5.9 rebounds in just 22.9 minutes per game. He could see some extended run early in the season as Julius Randle is dealing with a nagging rib injury.
