Nance (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers, Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nance was limited to just 14 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Suns after leaving the game early with a tight right hamstring. While he indicated after the contest that he was fine and the injury wasn't serious, coach Ty Lue said Thursday that Nance will have to go through pregame warmups before a final decision is made on his availability. While it seems likely Nance will ultimately take the court, the Cleveland-Portland game doesn't tip-off until 10:00 p.m. EDT, so we may not get final word until after lineup lock. Ante Zizic is expected to pick up the start if Nance can't give it a go.

Nance, who missed most of the second half of the Cavaliers' 129-107 victory over the Suns on Tuesday with a tight right hamstring, said that he was "fine" after the contest, Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cavaliers head coach more or less agreed with Nance's assessment, saying that the third-year player had been dealing with the issue for a few days. Lue may have just used the blowout victory as an opportunity to find some rest for Nance, who had averaged 31.3 minutes per game over the previous four contests with few other frontcourt options available for the Cavaliers. With Tristan Thompson expected to miss at least the Cavs' next two games and Kevin Love (hand) targeting a March 23 return, Nance looks to have some leash in his role as the club's primary center.

Nance left Tuesday's game against the Suns with a right hamstring injury and will not return, Jason Lloyd of The Athletic Cleveland reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nance left the game early in the third quarter, finishing his night with four points (2-4 FG), two rebounds and a block across 14 minutes. Despite leaving the game early, the Cavaliers already secured a sizable lead and are simply holding him out for precautionary reasons, so the injury isn't believed to be anything serious. At this point, it seems likely Nance will be good to go by Thursday's matchup with Portland.

Nance accounted for 16 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 26 minutes in Sunday's 127-113 loss to the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
Nance turned in a solid overall night against the team he was wearing the uniform of less than a month ago. However, he did see opposite number Brook Lopez explode for a 22-point effort on 10-for-18 shooting, so his defensive work left something to be desired. The fourth-year big saw his streak of three straight double-doubles as a starter come to an end, but he also played four fewer minutes than his lowest allotment of playing time among that trio of contests. Despite the disappointing team outcome Sunday, the Nance experiment at center has been a bright spot thus far, as he's averaging 16.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.8 steals across 31.3 minutes over the four games he's run with the first unit in place of the sidelined Tristan Thompson (ankle).

Nance delivered 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 FT), 12 rebounds, one steal and one block across 30 minutes in Friday's 116-102 loss to the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Nance got off to a slow start in his third consecutive game with the first unit, but he cranked it up in the second half to finish with his third straight double-double. The third-year big man has also scored in double digits in a career-high six consecutive games, and he looks primed to continue offering a similar caliber of production as long as he retains a starting role in place of Tristan Thompson (ankle).

Nance had 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-1 FT), 13 rebounds, four steals and three assists in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 113-108 victory over the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
Nance continues to flourish on his new team, recording his third double-double in his last five games. Tristan Thompson (ankle) is expected to miss multiple games, affording the starting center position to Nance. Based on his production across the last two games, Thompson's eventual return is not going to have an impact on that. The team functions better with Nance on the floor and he has already formed a strong connection with LeBron James. Congratulations if you snapped him up recently.

Nance scored 22 points (9-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT) while adding 15 rebounds, two steals and one assist across 32 minutes in Monday's 112-90 win over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Nance got the starting nod Monday and made the most of it and what was expected to be a tough assignment, as he did not allow Andre Drummond to double-double, while collecting one of his own. It seems as though him and LeBron James have developed a good rapport, and with Tristan Thompson sidelined (ankle) for the time being, Nance should continue to see extended run on a small Cavs rotation.

Nance is expected to start at center Monday against the Pistons, Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Kevin Love (hand) likely sidelined through at least mid-March and Tristan Thompson (ankle) set to miss multiple games, the 6-foot-9 Nance looks on tap to slot in as an undersized center for the Cavaliers for the time being. While Nance's athleticism and versatility should work in his favor when the Cavaliers face smaller lineups, the head-to-head matchup against the 6-foot-11, 279-pound Andre Drummond doesn't look like a good one for Nance. It's still expected that Nance will see an uptick Monday out of necessity from the 22 minutes per game he's averaged through eight games with the Cavaliers, but don't be surprised if head coach Tyronn Lue turns to lightly-used 6-foot-11 rookie Ante Zizic a little more than usual in order to counter Drummond's size advantage.

Nance scored 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 FT) while adding seven rebounds, three blocks and a steal in 26 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 108-97 loss to the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
The forward is proving to be a solid supplier of defensive stats on the second unit, averaging 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks a game since joining the Lakers. Nance seems stuck coming off the bench, however, especially with Kevin Love (hand) potentially returning before the end of March.

Nance scored 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 FT) to go with 10 rebounds, one assist and one block in 26 minutes during Tuesday's 129-123 win against Brooklyn.
EDGE Analysis
Since joining the Cavaliers six games ago, Nance has averaged 8.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists. As far as scoring and rebounding numbers are concerned, the forward is right in line with his 8.6 points and 6.7 rebounds averaged for the season to this point. On Tuesday, Nance was an efficient 4-of-5 from the floor while collecting 10 rebounds to clinch his first double-double as a Cavalier. If Cleveland is to continue its dominance in the Eastern Conference when the playoffs begin, it needs contributions from everybody, especially its newest acquisitions.
