Lowry (back) will return at some point prior to the playoffs, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports. Coach Dwane Casey said he hopes to have Lowry back soon, but he noted that the team will not rush the All-Star back. Casey confirmed Lowry will be back before the playoffs, however, so that means sometime within the next 12 days. Following Friday's game against the Nets, the Raptors play Saturday (Boston), Wednesday (Charlotte) and Friday (Orlando).

Greivis Vasquez has modest value in Lowry's absence, but with DeMar DeRozan handling the ball so much, Vasquez best skill (passing) has been muted on the Raptors.

He's currently on an open-ended timetable because of the issue, so he can't be ruled out, nor counted on for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves at this point.

Lowry (back) will not play Friday against the Lakers, Eric Koreen of the National Post reports. As expected, Lowry will sit out Friday as he continues to battle back spasms. The Raptors said Wednesday that Lowry is without a timetable to return, so it's certainly possible that he could miss multiple games down the stretch, as playoff health is the team's top priority.

Lowry is having tests done on his back by the Raptors' doctors, and there is no timetable for his return. Lowry tried to return from a two-game absence for Tuesday's game, but he lasted just 11 minutes before being forced out of the game with back spasms. He originally suffered a back contusion after taking a hard fall against the Timberwolves last Wednesday. If you're fighting to make it to the next round of your fantasy playoffs in a league with daily moves, Lowry should be dropped, but if you can otherwise stash him and still survive, he should return at some point.

He left Tuesday's game after suffering the back spasms in the first half, and with it being the second night of a back-to-back, it does not come as a surprise that they are holding him out. Greivis Vasquez should see extra playing time yet again moving forward as Lowry's availability for Wednesday's game against the Bulls is not looking good.

However, there's slight concern that he may not be playing his normal 34.8 minutes Tuesday, although he's still worth the play since he can compile significant production in limited minutes.

Lowry (back) participated in practice Monday, but remains questionable for Tuesday's game against the Pistons. Lowry suffered the back issue last Wednesday, and has yet to take the court since. His return to practice Monday is promising, but more light should be shed on the situation Tuesday.
