Lowry (rest) will play Friday against the Hornets, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
Lowry said all along that his plan was to sit out three games and return in Charlotte, and it appears that's what will happen after he went through a successful workout Thursday. Prior to the absence, Lowry struggled shooting the ball, but he's expected to return refreshed, and his numbers could see a mild boost. With Lowry back, Greivis Vasquez will shift back to a bench role.

Lowry (rest) took part in an optional workout on Thursday, and could return to the lineup on Friday against the Hornets, the Toronto Star reports.
Raptors' coach Dwane Casey wouldn't commit to anything beyond saying they would see how Lowry felt on Friday, the point guard himself is clearly itching to get back in the lineup after being a spectator to a tough loss Wednesday to the Cavs. If he is in uniform Friday, expect him to come out firing.

Lowry (rest) remains questionable to play Wednesday against the Cavs, Sam Amico of Fox Sports reports.
Lowry has sat out the last two games while nursing several minor injuries, and coach Dwane Casey indicated that he could be held out the rest of the week. At this point, it looks like he might end up a true game-time decision, and if he's held out again, Greivis Vasquez will make another start.

Lowry (rest) will miss Monday's game, and could be out for the rest of the week, the Toronto Sun's Ryan Wolstat reports.
Lowry said the priority is being healthy for the playoffs, so Wolstat speculated that Lowry could miss a few more games after Monday. With this level of uncertainty, it would be advisable to leave Lowry on the bench in weekly leagues. Greivis Vasquez could be a sneaky add this week as he would figure to start any further games that Lowry misses.

Lowry is dealing with a slew of unnamed ailments, and strategic rest will seemingly be employed in the short term to ensure that he's healthy for the stretch run of the season and ultimately the playoffs. If he remains on the pine Monday, expect Greivis Vasquez to receive another nod at the point.

Lowry scored 22 points (8-19 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT) with five assists, three steals and two rebounds in 34 minutes during Monday's loss to the Pelicans.
The Raptors' point guard had a couple of relatively quiet games coming out of the All-Star break, but was able to return to form on Monday. He'll try to keep his momentum going on Tuesday against the Mavericks and Rajon Rondo, a defensive assignment Lowry's had some success against in the past, including a 35-point explosion in November while Rondo was still with the Celtics.
