Raptors GM Masai Ujiri said re-signing Kyle Lowry is a priority for the team.
Lowry is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, but Ujiri is committed to keeping the point guard in Toronto after a season in which he averaged 17.9 points, 2.4 threes, 4.7 boards, 7.4 dimes, and 1.5 steals. "It's very important," Masai said of re-signing Lowry. "Negotiating is easy for me if we want Kyle here and Kyle wants to be here. We're optimistic and stuff will happen." Lowry will undoubtedly receive offers this summer after taking a big step in his grown this season, but it's sounding like the Raptors will make every effort to prevent him from leaving.

Kyle Lowry will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, but he implied after Sunday's Game 7 loss that he'll re-sign with the Raptors.
"I've had the best core of teammates I've ever had in my life and my career," said Lowry. "This is only the start for us and the Raptors organization." Lowry was the subject of trade speculation for much of the 2013-14 season and he'll draw plenty of interest as one of the summer's premier free agents, but it sounds like Toronto has the inside track to retain him after his career-best season with averages of 17.9 points, 2.4 threes, 4.7 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.5 steals.

Kyle Lowry hit just 4-of-16 shots in the Raptors' Game 6 loss to the Nets on Friday, finishing with 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals and two triples.
Lowry got beat up by a gimpy Deron Williams and racked up five fouls on the night, but still logged 38 minutes as the guy that needs to carry the load if the Raptors are going to down the Nets. DeMar DeRozan kept the game from getting even more out of hand than it was for most of the night, scoring 28 points on 8-of-18 shooting (10-of-11 FTs) with six rebounds, four assists, two steals and two threes in the loss.

Kyle Lowry hit 11-of-19 shots and six 3-pointers on his way to 36 points and six assists in Wednesday's thrilling Game-5 win over the Nets to give the Raptors a 3-2 lead in the series.
The Raptors set a playoff high with 62 points in the first half, but then blew a 26-point lead after the Nets went on a late 32-10 run to tie the game. Things got weird at the end when Jonas Valanciunas nearly blew the game with a goal tend on a Deron Williams half-court attempt, but he was bailed out by the fact that Andray Blatche threw one of the worst passes ever to commit a backcourt violation with less than two seconds left in the game. Lowry was a beast and not only committed just one turnover, but ran circles around Deron, who just didn't look very good. Game 6 is Friday at Brooklyn.

Kyle Lowry (knee) is committed to keep playing through postseason pains.
With the Raptors-Nets series tied 2-2, Lowry said it will take a lot more than a bruised knee to keep him from playing, "I'm OK. It's the playoffs, no matter how I feel, I'll give it my all when I'm on the floor." He's been averaging 18.3 points, 1.8 3-pointers, 5.5 boards, 5.0 dimes, and 0.8 steals in 38.5 minutes per game in the postseason and has carried his strong regular season into the opening round of the playoffs.

Kyle Lowry said that his knee injury is "controllable" and will not require surgery after the playoffs.
"We can do what we need to do to get through the playoffs," said Lowry, who is bound for free agency this summer. "It's definitely a pain, but I'm not going to worry about it, I'm not going to complain about it, I'm just going to do my job." He scored 22 points in Sunday's Game 4 victory despite his sore knee and a variety of other minor ailments, and should be ready to go for Wednesday's home game.

Kyle Lowry played through a sore knee on Sunday, notching 22 points, three 3-pointers, four rebounds, two assists and one steal as the Raptors escaped with a Game 4 victory in Brooklyn.
Lowry received treatment on the bench and he's obviously laboring on his knee, but that didn't prevent him from making key baskets in a must-win game for his young team. Backup PG Greivis Vasquez was no less impressive, contributing nine points, six rebounds and nine assists with only one turnover in 35 minutes off the bench.

Kyle Lowry is being treated by Raptors' trainers on the sidelines but he is available to return to Sunday's game.
Lowry isn't anywhere near 100 percent healthy, and with Toronto leading by double-digit points in the second quarter the Raptors are seizing the opportunity to get their starting PG some rest. He should be on the court to start the third quarter, but the score will determine how much he plays in the second half.

Kyle Lowry (knee) is still fighting through his knee injury but he will be in the starting lineup on Sunday.
Coach Dwane Casey said he's "one of the toughest guys in the league" during the pre-game press conference. Lowry was all banged up in Game 3 with injuries to his lip, elbow and knee, but he figures to get a full allotment of minutes. The Raptors will try to even the series at two in Brooklyn tonight.

Kyle Lowry's right knee was "very sore" on Saturday, but he has "no doubt" that he'll be in the starting lineup for Sunday's Game 4.
Lowry also cut his lip and bruised his elbow during Game 3, but as usual the Raptors' pitbull will suit up as Toronto tries to even the series at 2-2. Through three postseason games, Lowry is averaging 17.0 points on 39.5 percent shooting, 1.3 triples, 6.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 3.7 turnovers.
