This 34-point output was Kuzma's best mark of the current campaign, and while inconsistent at times, he's done enough to lead the Wizards in scoring through 10 games. He has also notched five games with 25 or more points.

Kuzma didn't shoot particularly well overall and committed five turnovers, but he led Washington in scoring on the strength of a 4-for-9 mark from three-point range. The seventh-year forward has exceeded the 20-point mark in each of his five contests so far this season and leads the Wizards with an average of 22.8 points per game on the campaign. Kuzma should be able to continue that level of production as Washington's centerpiece on offense now that Bradley Beal is in Phoenix.

Kuzma began the season with the expectation of being one of the Wizards' main scoring threats, and he has established himself as the team's most productive player. However, Jordan Poole's struggles from the field have also benefited Kuzma. Kuzma has surpassed the 20-point mark in his four outings so far while shooting a respectable 49.4 percent from the field, a figure that would represent a career-high mark for him by a wide margin.

Kuzma supplied 21 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five rebounds and four assists over 26 minutes during Monday's 126-107 loss to Boston.

Kuzma was the only Washington player who scored more than 20 points in this one, and his role as one of the Wizards' main scoring threats is pretty much set in stone. While Kuzma tends to be a volume scorer, he was pretty efficient in this particular game, and he's made 48.2 percent of his shots (while averaging 18.7 attempts per game) so far. Three games are a small sample size to work with, but this is an encouraging start for him.

Kuzma finished the game with more shot attempts than points scored, but as was the case in the regular-season opener, the veteran forward surpassed the 20-point mark for the second time in two games. Kuzma will deliver most of his value through his scoring numbers on a regular basis, but there's no question he needs to improve his shooting efficiency from deep, as he has made just two of his 14 three-point attempts so far.
