Despite having a team worst -20 in the plus-minus column, he managed to see plenty of court-time, much to the delight of his many owners. The Heat face the 76ers in another crucial Eastern Conference battle on Thursday and Richardson should be front and center for the encounter.

Since shooting 3-of-11 for six points against Philadelphia on Tuesday, Richardson has steadily improved over his last two games. The forward is shooting a combined 43.3 percent from the floor, including 4-of-11 from beyond the arc, for a total of 32 points in his last two games. For the Heat to hold on to the eighth spot in the East, Miami needs players like Richardson to carry the load. If he can start scoring like he did on Saturday, Richardson and the Heat will be in good shape when the playoffs begin.

The steals tied his season high, set Friday in New Orleans. Richardson's offense remains steady -- he's scored in double digits in 21 of 24 games in 2018 -- but his ability to contribute in defensive categories as well has given the 24-year-old a strong fantasy floor as his skills continue to develop.

Richardson finished with 15 points (7-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, five steals, three assists and two blocks in 37 minutes during Friday's 124-123 loss to the Pelicans.

EDGE Analysis

Richardson tied his season-high with five steals but missed a final second put-back which would have handed the Heat a victory. He continues to be a nice source of defensive stats while contributing in a range of other areas. The return of Dwyane Wade has not had an impact on either his minutes or role and he should clearly be owned in all leagues.

It was also Richardson's eighth straight double-digit scoring effort, and 15th in his last 16 games overall. The 24-year-old's improvement across the stat sheet has been vast this season, as he was posting career bests in scoring (13.4), shot attempts (11.1) and shooting percentage (45.5) coming into Friday's contest.

Richardson was on fire from beyond the arc in this one as his season-high seven treys helped him reach the 30-point mark for the first time. He was counted on to contribute elsewhere with Wayne Ellington (shoulder) sidelined, and responded with an impressive all-around performance. Richardson has been in a groove of late, averaging 23 points, 4.3 assists and 3.3 made three-point attempts per game over the last three.

The 24-year-old's ability to contribute in multiple categories gives him a strong fantasy floor in both season-long and DFS formats, and his ceiling in a Miami offense that's usually looking for extra offense can't be ignored either.

After managing only six points Thursday on 2-for-13 shooting, Richardson bounced back with a solid performance. The third-year wing is prone to occasional duds, but he's scored in double digits in 21 of his last 23 games while making a contribution in almost every fantasy category, giving him a a sturdy floor even if he lacks a high ceiling.
