McRoberts (foot) has been upgraded to questionable for Monday's tilt with the Cavaliers, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
McRoberts has been sidelined since late December with a foot injury, but was able to take part in a full-contact practice last week, so he appears to be inching towards a return. With just two games left on the regular season schedule, it remains to be seen if the Heat will try and push McRoberts back into the action, but his listing as questionable indicates the team is at least a little optimistic about the possibility. Look for his status to be updated after Monday's morning shootaround.

McRoberts (foot) participated in a full-contact practice Monday, Tom D'Angelo of the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though coach Erik Spoelstra noted that McRoberts' role in the full-contact practice was "a short stint", the fact that McRoberts is simulating on-court action is a good sign for him and the team. There's still a possibility that he'll return before the end of the season, though he's still listed as out indefinitely.

McRoberts (foot) was able to perform some basketball-related activities Wednesday, Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Erik Spoelstra noted that McRoberts has been doing some on-court work for a while, but the team hasn't provided any indication of when he'll be able to take part in full-court, full-contact practices. The big man has been sidelined since late December with the stress reaction in his left foot and remains out indefinitely.

Coach Erik Spoelstra said McRoberts (foot) is making progress in his recovery, and hasn't been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Heat have considered McRoberts out indefinitely since he was first diagnosed with a stress reaction in his left foot in late December, and given that he broke the same foot last spring, there was some thought the big man could be shut down for the rest of the season. It appears that isn't the case, but McRoberts will likely need to resume practicing in the next couple weeks if he's to have a realistic chance at playing again before the regular season draws to a close in mid-April.

McRoberts (foot) remains out indefinitely and could be sidelined for the remainder of the season, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
McRoberts has already missed 10 games with a stress fracture in his left foot, but because the Heat haven't determined that surgery will be necessary to address the issue, there isn't an official timetable for his return. Even so, given the fact that McRoberts missed a large portion of 2015-16 with the same injury, it seems quite likely that he'll be out through at least the All-Star break. His ongoing absence has allowed Luke Babbitt to settle in as the team's starting power forward, though backup James Johnson continues to handle the bulk of the minutes at the position.

McRoberts (foot) will not travel with the team during their upcoming six-game road trip, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
This puts McRoberts' earliest return date at Jan. 17 against the Rockets. Miami will head into the road trip with a myriad of injuries, leaving Willie Reed, Derrick Williams, James Johnson, Luke Babbitt, and Udonis Haslem with lots of minutes to go around in the frontcourt while Hassan Whiteside (eye) and Justise Winslow (shoulder) also nurse injuries of their own.

McRoberts is battling a stress reaction in his foot and will remain out indefinitely, Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is obviously a difficult setback for McRoberts, who battled a stress reaction throughout the offseason, causing him to miss the first seven games of the 2016-17 campaign. It's difficult to gauge how much time he could miss, but considering the recurring nature of the injury, the Heat will likely exercise caution. McRoberts had been averaging just under 21 minutes per game over the last month, producing 6.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

McRoberts tallied seven points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds and five assists across 29 minutes in Tuesday's 114-103 loss to the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
The Heat's mounting injuries have allowed McRoberts to claim more playing time of late, and he's beginning to carve out some value in deeper leagues. He's averaging a respectable 10.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 three-pointer in 27.0 minutes per game over the last three contests, a well-rounded line that could be sustainable so long as Justise Winslow (wrist), Luke Babbitt (hip) and James Johnson (shoulder) remain sidelined for the next handful of games.

McRoberts scored 13 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT) to go with four assists, two rebounds and two steals across 28 minutes in Saturday's 99-92 win over the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
The Heat initially deployed McRoberts as a backup center when he made his season debut Nov. 12, but coach Erik Spoelsta has since returned the big man to his more natural power forward spot. He's started the last three games at the position, finishing with double figures in the scoring column in the last two contests. It looks as though McRoberts could enjoy some longevity in the starting role, but he's unlikely to bring much fantasy value outside of deeper leagues.

McRoberts started at power forward and finished with one point (0-4 FG, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one block across 16 minutes in Wednesday's 106-98 win over the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
Though McRoberts entered the top unit for the first time all season, he didn't notice much of a boost in minutes from what he had been seeing off the bench. Given the lack of impact Derrick Williams previously provided as the starting power forward, McRoberts could end up sticking in that role for multiple contests, but he'll need to see increased playing time before attracting interest in the majority of fantasy leagues.
