Josh McRoberts hit 8-of-13 shots and three 3-pointers for 19 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in 36 minutes of Friday's preseason finale. McBob has been starting over Cody Zeller and may have locked up the power forward job with this stellar performance, although it's worth mentioning that Andrea Bargnani was guarding him. He's being ignored in favor of Zeller in a lot of leagues, but that may be a mistake, at least for the short term. If you need a 3-point shooting big man late in your draft, McRoberts looks like he's going to at least split minutes with the rookie.

Josh McRoberts (toe) played 10 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, scoring three points with one rebound and one block. Cody Zeller was impressive and shows no signs of ceding the PF spot to the veteran McRoberts, who is still regaining his conditioning after a training camp mostly spent rehabbing his toe. In a curious preseason wrinkle, McBob even played a bit of SF alongside Anthony Tolliver and Bismack Biyombo.

Josh McRoberts (toe) is expected to play on Tuesday, but Steve Clifford said that he's "a ways away" from being in game shape. "Josh has had so little time on the court he's not nearly ready to play from a conditioning standpoint, nor a rhythm standpoint," Clifford said. The injury has been a nagging concern for a few years and it may have already cost McRoberts the starting PF job, which will belong to rookie Cody Zeller on Tuesday.

Josh McRoberts (toe) is expected to play against the Hawks on Tuesday. He has a minor turf toe-like issue which has bothered him for the past couple years and has missed some time in camp. McRoberts needs all the minutes he can get to keep rookie Tyler Zeller from taking his starting job. Zeller is the heavy favorite, so McBob isn't worth picking up in standard leagues.

Josh McRoberts' (toe) injury is a turf toe-like condition he's been managing for a couple of years. He has been limited in camp, which could end up hurting his playing time with rookie Cody Zeller making a push for the starting job. McRoberts saw a career-high 30.8 minutes per game last season with the Bobcats and we're expecting that total to take a big hit this season with Zeller around.

Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said that the starting PF job will be given to whichever player "fits in best." The two options are rookie Cody Zeller, whom Clifford wants to "progress at his own rate," and veteran Josh McRoberts. Zeller will presumably begin the season with a smaller role which will expand once he gets his feet wet in the NBA. Fantasy owners should anticipate a minute-share at PF in Charlotte, at least early in the season.

The Bobcats are "motivated" to re-sign free agent Josh McRoberts, according to Yahoo! Sports. Charlotte acquired McRoberts from the Magic in late February and they immediately put him to work -- in 20 games with the Bobcats he averaged caeer-highs of 9.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks. In a refreshing bit of candor, he said in April that he'll sign with whichever team offers him the most money.

Josh McRoberts said he'd "love" to return to the Bobcats as an unrestricted free agent, but he "made it clear money is biggest factor" in his free agency. Shocker. McBob was surprisingly productive during his stint with the Bobcats, averaging 9.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks on 50.5 percent shooting over 26 games. Mike Dunlap has previously endorsed McRoberts publicly, but the team shouldn't overextend itself to retain him.

Josh McRoberts hit 6-of-6 shots and three 3-pointers for 20 points and eight rebounds in Wednesday's season finale. Had Byron Mullens not been around for the first half of the season, McBob might have had a monster season. He played very well down the stretch for the Cats and will likely be worth a look later in fantasy drafts next year, depending on where he lands. He's an unrestricted free agent.
