With the Bobcats (now Hornets) in 2013-14, McBob started 78 games and averaged 8.5 points, 1.3 three-pointers, 4.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.6 blocks in 30 minutes per game. He's great at being good at everything, and that's where McRoberts' value lies, but he needs to put up good across-the-board production, because he's not particularly great at any one thing. The sum is greater than the parts. Even if McRoberts gets healthy in time for the start of the season, he's destined for a bench role behind Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside, and if the team goes small, McRoberts could be squeezed further down the rotation.

The good news for McRoberts is that the Heat are still in need of depth in their frontcourt, and given that he stays healthy, Miami will look at him once again to be a positive contributor off the bench behind Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside.
