Jackson had his best pre-season performance in the win Thursday. The forward was easily the best player for Detroit, after he posted a well-rounded game. Jackson was able to show a glimpse of what he was to offer, after he left Memphis for Detroit in the offseason. There are plenty of positions open for starting time heading into the season and Jackson will need to continue this type of performance if he wants to see the court.

Jackson has struggled to find a place in the league since being selected fourth by the Suns in the 2017 NBA Draft. He spent two seasons in Phoenix before getting dealt to Memphis last year. While he will need to make an impression right away for any chance at a spot in the rotation, the 23-year-old will look for a fresh start in Detroit.

Jackson has had a solid month of March, and but what made this outing unique was the efficiency he showed from the floor, getting the job done despite taking fewer than 10 shots in the contest.
