Jackson was one of Detroit's biggest offensive threats once again and scored 15 or more points for the third time in his last four games, but he struggled badly with his shot and only made seven of his 23 attempts from the field. The shooting woes have not been much of a concern for Jackson, however, as he was shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 39.0 percent from three-point range in the nine games leading up to Sunday's contest. Even if he has an off night from time to time, Jackson should remain one of the Pistons' main scoring threats on a nightly basis.

After a decent rookie season with Phoenix, Jackson fell out of favor with the Suns and didn't catch on in Memphis, but he's enjoying a career renaissance in Detroit. The Kansas product is aptly filling in as a sixth man for the Pistons, and his 6-8 frame affords him opportunities to play at almost every position.

Jackson notched 21 points (8-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds and an assist across 21 minutes off the bench in Sunday's win over the Pelicans.

Jackson seems to have found a home in Detroit and is undoubtedly playing his best basketball since entering the league in 2017, as he has now scored more than 10 points in eight straight games -- including three games with at least 20 points in that span. Jackson is averaging 18.1 points per game in seven appearances this month.

Jackson is probable for Friday's game at Boston with a right finger sprain.

EDGE Analysis

The 24-year-old apparently picked up the finger sprain during Thursday's matchup with the Pacers, but he's expected to play through the injury. Jackson has scored in double figures in six straight games and is averaging 18.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 28.2 minutes over that stretch.

Jackson had 13 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 29 minutes.

The 24-year-old unsurprisingly couldn't replicate his 28-point performance from Saturday, but he's put up double-digit points in five consecutive games. Jackson should continue to see plenty of work off the bench, especially following the departure of Derrick Rose.

Jackson did his best work after halftime, collecting 25 of his 28 points in the third quarter and beyond to help Detroit nearly pull off its second upset of the defending champions this season. The 23-year-old tied his career high with five three-pointers in the contest en route to his second effort of 20-plus points in his last four games. Jackson has been coming on strong of late, averaging 19.5 points and 6.3 rebounds over his last four contests. His fantasy appeal is buoyed by his ability to block shots -- Jackson is averaging a swat per game this season, and he has collected multiple blocked shots in five of his past nine contests.

EDGE Analysis

Jackson was coming off 17 and 22 point performances, respectively. While he wasn't able to replicate those efforts, he did manage to reach double-digit scoring for the third consecutive game in the absence of Wayne Ellington (calf) and Derrick Rose (rest). Though he was held back by a poor shooting performance, Jackson has often found ways to produce when given the opportunity this season, notably averaging 1.3 steals and 1.6 blocks per 36 minutes.
