Evans signed a training camp deal with the Hawks on Wednesday, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Evans has been out of the league since the 2015-16 season, after playing five years with the Jazz and one with the Mavericks. Most recently, he spent a brief period of time with BC Khimki of the Russion VTB United League, where he averaged 5.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.0 block across 12.4 minutes. He'll now return Stateside to join the Hawks, though his contract is not expected to be guaranteed and he'll have to have to have an impressive showing in the preseason to make the final roster.

Evans signed a contract Friday with BC Khimki of the Russian VTB United League, international basketball writer David Pick reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being let go by the Pacers in final roster cuts following the conclusion of the preseason, Evans will forgo joining the D-League and instead opt for greater financial security by heading overseas. If Evans enjoys a productive season abroad, he could be brought in for a look by an NBA team in training camp next fall.

Evans (shoulder) played five minutes in Saturday's 121-105 preseason loss to the Bulls, but didn't post any statistics.
EDGE Analysis
As anticipated, the Pacers limited Evans in his preseason debut, which had been delayed while he recovered from a surgically-repaired right shoulder. Evans should see more opportunities as the preseason schedule unfolds and new coach Nate McMillan looks to see what he has with the athletic big man, but he won't be a member of the rotation once the regular season opens.

Evans (shoulder) has been ruled out of Thursday's preseason matchup with the Bulls, Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Evans was practicing in full on Wednesday after opening up training camp as a limited participant. Coach Nate McMillan indicated earlier in camp that he wasn't sure Evans would be ready for the start of the regular season, but considering he's nearing a return to full strength already, it appears he's trending in the right direction. With that said, he'll sit out Thursday, with his next chance of making his preseason debut on Saturday.

Evans (shoulder) returned to practice Wednesday, Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Evans underwent surgery in March to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder and opened training camp as a limited participant. However, he's now nearing a return to full strength and was able to practice Wednesday, which seems to indicate he'll be ready for game action in the near future. The Pacers have a matchup with the Bulls on Thursday, although it wouldn't be surprising if Evans continues to sit out while getting his conditioning back in order. With that said, he should be good to go by the time the regular season begins.

Evans (shoulder) is still rehabbing and is yet to return to full-speed, on-court work, Pacers reporter Scott Agness reports.
EDGE Analysis
Evans underwent surgery near the end of the regular season to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He was dealt to the Pacers in July but is not expected to factor into the regular rotation, regardless of his health situation. "It's a possibility that he won't be ready for the start of the season," coach Nate McMillan said Monday.

Evans (shoulder) is expected to enter training camp at full strength, Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
New Pacers coach Nate McMillan said Wednesday that the entire team will enter training camp with a clean bill of health, thereby meaning that Evans is no longer recovering from the torn labrum in his right shoulder that required season-ending surgery last March. Prior to going down with the injury, Evans wasn't a member of the Mavericks' rotation, appearing in only 30 games and averaging 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 8.4 minutes per contest. While his guaranteed contract for 2016-17 will put him in good position to make the Pacers' 15-man roster this season after he was traded to the team in July, Evans once again figures to serve as a deep reserve.

Evans was traded to the Pacers on Wednesday, Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The deal is reportedly a salary dump, so the Mavs are likely receiving either cash considerations or a future second-round pick. Evans, best known for his dunking ability, appeared in only 30 games last season, averaging 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds while shooting 54.2 percent from the field. He'll likely fill a similar role for the Pacers as he enters his age-29 season.

Evans has been diagnosed with a torn labrum in his right shoulder and will undergo season-ending arthroscopic surgery to address the injury, Earl Sneed of Mavs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mavericks first reported at the beginning of the week that Evans picked up a shoulder injury, but didn't specify the severity of the ailment. Based on this report, it appears that Evans was dealing with something more serious than simple soreness, so he'll go under the knife in an attempt to rectify the issue. While he an official timetable for his return hasn't been issued, it's expected that Evans will be back at full strength for training camp. The Mavericks may be reluctant to bring him back in 2016-17, however, as the athletic big man struggled to crack the rotation in his first season with the team. He averaged just 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds over 8.4 minutes in his 30 appearances.
