Evans (shoulder) has been ruled out of Thursday's preseason matchup with the Bulls, Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star reports.

EDGE Analysis

Evans was practicing in full on Wednesday after opening up training camp as a limited participant. Coach Nate McMillan indicated earlier in camp that he wasn't sure Evans would be ready for the start of the regular season, but considering he's nearing a return to full strength already, it appears he's trending in the right direction. With that said, he'll sit out Thursday, with his next chance of making his preseason debut on Saturday.
