Jeff Foster was signed by IND on Thursday March 22.

After 13 season with the Pacers, Jeff Foster has announced his retirement due to chronic back injuries. Foster was classy off the court and gritty on the court, and his absence will be keenly felt in Indiana. "I've given my all to the Pacers and the community the last 13 years," he said in a statement. "I want to thank the Simon family and the Pacers' organization for 13 memorable years." Right back at you, Jeff.

Jeff Foster (back) is not expected back in the near future. Foster will be reevaluated after having a shot in his back, but the Pacers aren't counting on him to return any time soon.

Jeff Foster (back) is out at least one week. Foster needed another procedure on his troublesome back. The 35-year-old rebounder has appeared in just 11 games this season.

Jeff Foster's lower back forced him to miss Saturday's game. The Pacers hadn't played in four days so this wasn't simply a conditioning issue -- Foster's chronic back pain isn't going away this season. If he can get healthy enough to grind out a small role in the playoffs (hacking Dwight Howard, perhaps?), his season will have been a success.

Jeff Foster (back) returned to action on Thursday, scoring four points with four rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench. Foster will have a few games here and there in which he plays decent minutes, but he's mostly harmless when it comes to the Pacers' frontcourt rotation.

Jeff Foster did not travel with the Pacers for Wednesday's game in Cleveland. Foster has played in two of the past four games, but the Pacers seem as though they'll rest him any time they play consecutive games. Needless to say, he's not a fantasy asset.
