Jeff Foster (back) returned to action on Friday, scoring four points on 2-of-2 shooting with four rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes. Foster will return to his bruiser role off the bench, but he will not have value in fantasy leagues without an injury in the frontcourt.

Jeff Foster (back) is not on the injury report for Friday's Pacers game vs. the Celtics. Foster will look to make his season debut for the Pacers on Friday. He will be a backup to Roy Hibbert, but has been known to be able to grab boards in bunches when given minutes. He's safe to leave on your league's waiver wire.

Jeff Foster (back) will be available for the Pacers on Wednesday, but is more likely to make his debut on Friday. Foster has been sidelined with a bad back, but he's right around the corner in his return. He'll serve as a reserve behind Roy Hibbert and is now in his twelfth season with the Pacers.

Jeff Foster (back) could make his season debut on Wednesday. Foster believes he's ready to go after going through some contact drills in practice. He'll serve as a backup to Roy Hibbert upon his return, but can be safely left on waiver wires.

Jeff Foster missed Monday's game with a back injury and remains day-to-day. With Roy Hibbert, David West and Tyler Hansbrough the Pacers won't really miss their elder stateman, who has no fantasy value.

Pacers coach Frank Vogel wants to limit Jeff Foster's minutes "as much as possible" during the early part of the season. Foster is 34 years old and has a history of back injuries, so this isn't too surprising. He's not even worth a look in average fantasy leagues while Roy Hibbert is around.

Free agent PF/C Jeff Foster signed a one-year deal to return to the Pacers on Friday. Foster was drawing interest around the league as a backup big man noted for his toughness, but now he'll return to the Pacers in the same role as last season. Barring a significant roster change or injuries, Foster will have no fantasy value this season.

Dallas is looking at possible Plan B options, including Jeff Foster, if Tyson Chandler leaves the Mavericks via free agency. Foster is on the Mavericks' radar due to the time he spent playing for current Dallas head coach Rick Carlisle when both were part of the Pacers organization. Mavs ownership would like to keep Chandler, but have to cover all of their bases just in case.

The Knicks are making a strong push to sign veteran center Jeff Foster. Former GM Donnie Walsh is reportedly gauging Foster's interest in leaving Indiana, and the Knicks may be willing to offer Foster the full midlevel exception on a one-year deal. The team is desperate for help inside, but offering the full MLE to Foster would be one of the more questionable moves we could imagine. He'd likely be the starting center in New York, and could be a sneaky source of rebounds if he does wind up signing with the team.

Jeff Foster's preference is to remain with the Pacers. An unrestricted free agent, Foster has drawn interest from some playoff clubs as a veteran big man capable of contributing off the bench, but he'd prefer to stay with the team he's been with throughout his career. It shouldn't take long for the two sides to work out a new deal.
