Initially considered probable, Sullinger has been given the green light after making it through shootaround without aggravating his back. The big man sat out Monday's game with what the team called back spasms, though Sullinger, himself, said he was experiencing discomfort in his glute. Regardless, Sullinger will start at his usual power forward spot, with Kelly Olynyk joining him in the frontcourt in place of the injured Amir Johnson (foot).

Sullinger (back) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against Charlotte, Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reports.

Sullinger missed Monday's game due to back spasms, but after resting Tuesday he's on track to return to the starting lineup Wednesday night. Amir Johnson (foot) remains out, however, so Sullinger figures to be joined in the starting frontcourt by either David Lee or Kelly Olynyk.

Sullinger has dealt with back injuries in the past, but this is the first we've heard of any recent issues. The big man scored 10 points to go with eight rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes Friday against Atlanta, but he'll sit out Monday and should be considered questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Hornets in Charlotte. With Amir Johnson (foot) also out, the Celtics will be shorthanded up front.

Sullinger scored 17 points (7-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT) with 10 rebounds and two assists through 27 minutes in a 119-116 loss to the Pistons on Wednesday.

Sullinger's solid effort Wednesday is a welcome sight for fantasy owners. The big man's numbers had lulled recently, averaging 5.3 points with 8.3 rebounds in the last three games leading into Wednesday. If Sullinger maintains momentum, he should be able to stave off Kelly Olynyk and Tyler Zeller to keep his minutes intact.

Sullinger was limited to five points (2-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, and two assists over 23 minutes in Tuesday's 89-77 loss to the Cavaliers.

EDGE Analysis

After noticing a bit of a resurgence earlier in December, Sullinger appears to have fallen on hard times again. He was held below 25 minutes for the second straight game, and has combined for just nine points and 12 rebounds during that span. With Kelly Olynyk thriving off the bench of late, Sullinger's role could be on the decline if he's unable to turn things around over the next few contests.

Sullinger scored 10 points (4-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), grabbed 16 rebounds, and got three blocks in Wednesday's win over the Bulls.

Sullinger posted his second consecutive double-double and his second highest rebound total of the season after setting his season high on Monday. Though he has had a few poor rebounding games this season, Sullinger has typically been a consistent rebounder posting an average of 9.7 boards per game. Though it's unlikely his rebounding continues at the level it has the past two games he'll likely continue to produce at a high level with inconsistent scoring.

Sullinger posted 11 points (4-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 20 rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 34 minutes in Monday's 111-93 win against the Pelicans. His 20 rebounds matched his career-high.

EDGE Analysis

Sullinger has been massively inconsistent this season, trading hot game for cold game in terms of scoring and field-goal shooting. Still, he's producing a variety of other stats such as rebounds, steals, blocks, and treys, so he's not a complete bust in fantasy. That being said, his most recent performance probably won't be the norm, so expect him to deviate up and down from a 10-10 line every night.

Sullinger poured in 17 points (7-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT) with six rebounds and three assists over 34 minutes in Monday's 105-95 win against the Heat.

EDGE Analysis

Sullinger really struggled the night before, posting just three points on 1-of-7 shooting against the Magic, but was able to get easy buckets in Miami. His numbers have been pretty inconsistent throughout the season, but coach Brad Stevens continues to give him around 30 minutes a night, so unless that number drops Sullinger should be a lineup consideration on almost every night.

Sullinger grabbed 11 rebounds and amassed three steals, three blocks, and two assists over 27 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Magic, but scored a season-low three points (1-7 FG, 1-2 FT).

Sullinger remained a monster on the glass Sunday, recording his third straight game with 10 or more boards. However, his recent decline as a scorer has been frustrating for fantasy owners, as he's averaging a lackluster 9.9 points and is shooting just 38.5 percent from the field in his last nine games, while reaching double digits in the scoring column on only two occasions. He's still worthy of keeping active while he provides capable numbers as a rebounder and shot blocker, but his lack of offensive production may soon prompt coach Brad Stevens to dole out some of Sullinger's minutes to another frontcourt option.

Sullinger posted 18 points (8-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 15 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 24 minutes during the Celtics' 111-74 win versus the Wizards on Friday.

EDGE Analysis

Sullinger played only 24 minutes, but he did a whole lot of damage, dismantling the Wizards on both ends of the floor. In his role as a starter, Sullinger is a nightly double-double threat, and he has now grabbed 15 boards in back-to-back Celtic wins.
