He appears to have won the spot from veteran Richard Jefferson, and while Cunningham's production has been minimal thus far, it probably has to do with his placement on an extremely talented Cleveland team. Cunningham has been hovering around the league for the past four seasons, but had not cracked double digits in scoring in cups of coffee with the Mavericks, Hawks, Kings, or Clippers. He may continue to get a few minutes while Kyrie Irving (knee) is out, but more injuries to Cavalier guards would have to occur to allow Cunningham to have fantasy value.

Cunningham is trying to make an outside bid to get on the Cavalier roster and he did nab more steals against the Bucks than he had in his three previous preseason games. However, his inability to shoot at an NBA level has hurt him in the past and minutes would be very limited should he gain admission to the starting-day roster.

Cunningham tallied 13 points (3-8 FG, 7-10 FT), two assists and a steal in Monday's 91-81 loss to the Grizzlies.

Cunningham turned in yet another solid performance in his continued bid to make an impression on a team with an already crowded guard position. The third-year pro has now posted doulbe-digit points in all three of his preseason contests to date, and will attempt to keep up his strong push for a roster spot over the balance of the exhibition slate.

Cunningham exploded 31 points (8-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 13-16 FT), three assists, and four rebounds in 31 minutes of action Thursday against the Sixers.

Cunningham's offensive outburst is exactly the kind of outing that the 24-year-old will need to have a chance of sticking on a Cavs' roster already abundant in shooting guards. It was actually Cunningham's second strong preseason outing in as many games, as he'd amassed 10 points in 17 minutes Wednesday against the Hawks. The former Clipper is shooting 77 percent (10-13) and 60 percent (3-5) from beyond the arc over the first two exhibitions.

Cunningham was traded to the Sixers and subsequently waived Wednesday, Yahoo! Sports reports. The move clears a roster spot for the Clippers and nets the Sixers some cash. Had Philadelphia held onto the point guard past Wednesday afternoon, his contract would have become guaranteed for the rest of the season. The 23-year-old has now spent time with five NBA teams since entering the league in 2012.

The Kings signed Jared Cunningham for the rest of the season. He's played 8.3 minutes per game with the Kings over his last five, averaging 4.0 points on 23.1 percent shooting. Cunningham has played a some wing minutes with the team missing Rudy Gay (back) and Isaiah Thomas (quad).

The Kings will sign free agent G Jared Cunningham to a 10-day contract in time for Monday's game vs. the Pelicans.
