Young was recalled from the D-League's Maine Red Claws on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Young recorded eight points (2-6 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 25 minutes for the Red Claws on Saturday. He'll return to the Celtics' roster and should continue to serve as a deep reserve. In 17 games with the Celtics this season, he's averaging just under nine minutes per game.

Young sat out the entire game during Boston's loss to Memphis on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Young had been receiving modest minutes recently, averaging eight minutes per game over his prior five contests. Coach Brad Stevens elected to play only nine players in Sunday's loss. Jonas Jerebko, fellow shooting guard R.J. Hunter, and Tyler Zeller also sat out for Boston. The Celtics will need to make a much anticipated "big trade" before Young's minutes situation will change.

Young has played fewer minutes with the return of rookie R.J. Hunter.
EDGE Analysis
In the three games since Hunter's return, Young has averaged under eight minutes per game, including a DNP versus Atlanta. Young could see a further decline in minutes once Marcus Smart returns. Smart is expected back at the end of the month.

Coach Brad Stevens said Monday that Young could maintain his spot in the rotation, despite R.J. Hunter's (hip) imminent return, Scott Souza of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
After spending much of the season either inactive or as a healthy scratch, Young has entered the rotation each of the last four games with Hunter sitting out, seeing between 13 and 20 minutes in those contests. While Young hasn't done much to help his cause by shooting 4-for-10 from the field during that span, he hasn't been a liability, either, which may be good enough to keep him ahead of Hunter in the pecking order. Stevens suggested that he'd take a game-to-game approach to determine whether to use Hunter or Young as his fourth guard behind Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley, and Evan Turner, so keep tabs of Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers to see which player ultimately gets more minutes.

Young managed four points, three rebounds, and two assists in his 20 minutes of action Monday for the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
Majority of his 20 minutes are a result of the game turning into a blowout, and Young has only appeared in five of the Celtics first 21 games this season. He's to be expected to be deep on the bench on a normal night for Brad Stevens' rotation.

Young was reassigned to the D-League on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Young, Jordan Mickey and Terry Rozier were all assigned to Maine on Thursday, but they'll likely return to Boston within the next few days. The trio has played sparingly off the bench through the first three weeks of the season.

Young was recalled by the Celtics from the D-League Maine Red Claws on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Young rejoins the Celtics along with Jordan Mickey and Terry Rozier. He has routinely moved from the Celtics to the Red Claws all season. He isn't expected to see any minutes in Sunday's game against the Thunder.

EDGE Analysis
Both Young and Jordan Mickey will rejoin the Red Claws in time for Thursday's matchup with the Westchester Knicks. Both players will likely be back with the Celtics on Friday.

Young was recalled Wednesday by the Celtics from the D-League Maine Red Claws.
EDGE Analysis
Young was previously sent down to the D-League earlier in the day, but the Celtics may have chosen to reverse course due to the uncertain health of Marcus Smart (toe) and Avery Bradley (leg) for Wednesday's game against the Pacers. While Young would likely be active for the contest if either or both of Smart and Bradley are forced to sit out, Young would likely see no more than a few minutes at the end of the Boston bench.

Young was sent back to the D-League on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Young will head back to the Maine Red Claws after being recalled Monday. The second-year guard out of Kentucky has not been a part of the Celtics' regular rotation thus far, so Wednesday's assignment will enable him an opportunity to see big minutes, albeit against a lower level of competition.
