Sampson returned to the bench against the Pacers Friday. The St. John's product has seen time in nine games for the Sixers, making two starts and averaging 2.0 points and 1.7 rebounds in 11.2 minutes per game.

Sampson came off the bench for 22 minutes to register eight points (3-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, and one block during Thursday's loss the Mavericks. Sampson has unexpectedly been rewarded with a role in Philadelphia's rotation this season as he's now averaging 12.3 minutes on the court over the first eight games of the year. However, his value is limited unless he can consistently spend more time on the court, as of right now, that doesn't seem like it will be happening.
