McDaniels off the bench, so Sampson slides into the starting lineup while Thompson sits due to an upper respiratory infection. Sampson played single-digit minutes in seven straight games prior to Friday's contest, when he scored eight points in 20 minutes in a blowout loss to Charlotte.
