Whiteside paid tribute to Kobe Bryant with a hard-fought game and a stuffed stat line. He recorded his fifth-straight double-double in the contest, and his five blocks represent the seventh night in January where he's swatted five or more balls. Whiteside is also collecting rebounds at a torrid pace, and he now ranks third in the league with an average of 13.9 rebounds per game.

Whiteside recorded 21 points (9-11 FG, 3-5 FT), 14 rebounds, six blocks and an assist in 35 minutes during Sunday's 139-129 win over the Pacers.

While Whiteside's game often doesn't translate to winning basketball, he's having an excellent season for fantasy purposes. Whiteside was in no-man's-land for most of the night, as the combination of Kristaps Porzingis and Maxi Kleber (the Mavericks' "centers") stretched the floor and minimized Whiteside's ownership of the paint. The poor matchup resulted in his second lowest rebounding total of the month and his first game without multiple blocks since around Christmas. Whiteside remains a top option at the center position and will look to get back to his ways as a fantasy darling Sunday against Indiana.
