Smith played an expanded role Sunday with teammate Tyson Chandler sidelined by back spasms. He played a season-high 25 minutes in the win over the Thunder, finishing with four points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. Smith will continue to see extra minutes with the team incredibly thin in the front court following the trade with Boston and a few injuries. However the bump in playing time hasn't led to big time stat lines, limiting his fantasy value.

Smith failed to score Friday in a win over the Lakers. He played a season-high 17 minutes but was limited by foul trouble. Smith's role with Dallas continues to expand with the departure of Brandan Wright. However he's failed to make much of an impact on the boxscore and isn't currently worth a roster spot in most fantasy formats.

Smith scored six points Tuesday in a loss to the Suns. He added six rebounds in 13 minutes of action. Smith's role continues to grow with the Mavericks stretched thin in the front court. He hasn't yet earned fantasy consideration but is trending upward.

Smith scored three points Monday in a loss to Atlanta. He added one rebound and one block. Smith played seven minutes and continues to see an expanded role following the team's trade of backup big Brandan Wright.

Smith, who will likely see more time in the rotation with the trade of Brandan Wright, played 10 minutes Saturday, scoring one point (1-2 FT) with one rebound. Smith isn't going to have the same impact Wright had and with Dallas reportedly feeling out free agent big men, his time in the rotation may be limited. Regardless, Smith isn't a guy to target in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Smith received his seventh straight DNP-CD on Wednesday. Smith saw limited action in five straight games during mid-November but hasn't touched the floor since then.

Smith was held scoreless in six minutes of action Tuesday. He did not attempt a shot in the win over the Kings. Smith was the first big off the bench Tuesday but failed to make an impact on the game.
