Smith received 12 minutes of playing time Friday after having sat for three of Dallas' previous four games. He finished with three points, three rebounds, and two blocks in the win over Miami. Smith moved ahead of Dwight Powell on the Dallas depth chart. The team plays Saturday in Orlando which should give fantasy owners a chance to see if the bump is temporary or not.

Smith scored four points Wednesday in seven minutes off the bench. He adde one rebound and one assist in the win over Minnesota. Smith has dropped behind Dwight Powell on the depth chart and isn't worth a look in fantasy.

Smith played just one minute Monday in a win over the Grizzlies. He collected one foul in his brief appearance. Smith appears to have lost his spot as the primary backup big man to newcomer Dwight Powell. Smith has played just one minute in Dallas' last two games while Powell has 31 minutes.

Smith didn't leave the bench Friday after starting at center Wednesday. He received a DNP-Coach's Decision. Smith has temporarily lost his spot in the rotation to newcomer Dwight Powell. However Powell did little to impress and Smith could easily return to his previous role.

Smith got the start Wednesday against the Nuggets, but scored just one point on one made free-throw and missed the only field goal he attempted, in addition to grabbing five rebounds and blocking a shot. Smith started with Tyson Chandler (rest) out, and didn't do much for fantasy purposes. Any owners who used him in daily formats will feel burned, and once Chandler returns, Smith's role will shrink significantly, as he averages just 9.4 minutes per game this year.

Smith will start Wednesday against the Nuggets. Smith will draw the start in favor of Tyson Chandler, who appears to be resting the sore ankle that he turned Tuesday evening. Smith will likely return to his regular role on the bench prior to Friday's contest, so he fantasy value will be short-lived.

Smith played just six minutes Tuesday in a win over the Kings. He finished with three points and two rebounds. Smith had received double-digit minutes in nine straight games before Tuesday night. Coach Rick Carlisle leaned heavily on his starter throughout the game but could turn to his bench Wednesday with Dallas facing Denver on the second night of a back-to-back.

Smith (right side) scored five points (2-2 FG, 1-2 FT) to go along with three rebounds, one assist and one block in 16 minutes Monday against the Nets. Smith didn't appear to be hampered by his injury at all and should continue to play limited minutes off the Mavericks' bench.

Smith (right side) will take the floor Monday in Brooklyn, the Mavericks' official site reports. Smith left Sunday's game due to a right side muscle strain, but the ailment won't stop him from suiting up just one day later. Since Rajon Rondo joined the Mavericks on Dec. 20, Smith has been a regular in the frontcourt rotation, averaging 3.5 points (on 67 percent shooting) and 3.1 boards in 15 minutes.

Smith will not return to Sunday's game against the Cavaliers due to an outside right muscle strain, the Star-Telegram reports. Smith should be considered day-to-day moving forward with his strain. Unfortunately for Smith, the Mavericks have a quick turnaround and will play against the Nets on Monday. The backup center will likely be evaluated after Monday's morning shootaround to determine his availability.
