Bacon was assigned to the G League on Wednesday, Rod Boone of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even as the Hornets dive deep into a rebuild, Bacon's role hasn't been consistent. He's played 17 games in the G League this season, averaging 22.2 points on 20.3 shots, plus 7.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 32.1 minutes.

Updating a previous report, Bacon will come off the bench Tuesday against the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
It was previously noted that Devonte' Graham would sit out Tuesday's game due to an illness, but his status quickly changed and he will remain in the starting five. Bacon will come off the bench per usual.

Bacon will join the starting five for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
With Devonte' Graham a late scratch due to illness, Bacon will join the starting five. In 10 prior starts this season, he's averaging 9.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 25.2 minutes.

Bacon supplied 24 points (10-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 32 minutes Sunday in the Hornets' 100-92 loss to the Suns.
EDGE Analysis
The scoring haul was Bacon's second-best total of the season, with his previous best coming Nov. 2, when he was still a starter for the Hornets. Bacon's putrid 34.2 percent mark from the field through 10 starts eventually resulted in him being benched and eventually dropped from the rotation, but the third-year player seems to be back in coach James Borrego's good graces of late. Over the past seven games, Bacon is averaging 11.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 triples while knocking down 54.4 percent of his field-goal attempts.

Bacon totaled 15 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Thursday's 109-106 win over the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
Bacon has reached double figures in scoring in consecutive contests after being held to single digits in 16 straight prior, including six scoreless showings during that stretch. With Nicolas Batum being a healthy scratch in each of the last four games, Bacon has been among those to benefit and he'll look to keep it rolling during Saturday's matchup versus the Mavericks.

Bacon had 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes during Tuesday's 109-92 loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Bacon scored in double-figures for the first time since early November, ending with 11 points. He has not even been a regular part of the rotation and the 18 minutes were his highest in over a month. He could force his way back into meaningful minutes at some point but until then, he is not worth rostering in most leagues.

Bacon failed to record a stat in four minutes during Sunday's 107-85 loss to Indiana.
EDGE Analysis
This really sums up where Bacon is at right now. Even in a game that is out of hand and without numerous players, he is still basically the last player off the bench. He could work back into the rotation at some point but that seems unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Bacon failed to leave the bench during Wednesday's 102-101 victory over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Bacon had plenty of time to practice his cheerleading during Wednesday's victory, failing to leave the bench. After a somewhat promising start to the season, Bacon has basically hit rock bottom. Given the inconsistent production of a handful of other players, there is a reason to think Bacon can carve out a meaningful role moving forward. However, until that time comes, he is a non-factor in almost every format.

Bacon had just six points, two steals, one rebound, one assist and one block in 14 minutes during Wednesday's 101-91 loss to Brooklyn.
EDGE Analysis
Bacon saw just 14 minutes of playing time Wednesday as his fall from grace continues. He began the season as a sneaky 12-team option but that has flipped as quickly as it began. The improvement of Malik Monk has seen Bacon relegated to a bench role, negating any value he had. There is a chance he works his way back to meaningful minutes at some point but until then he can be left on the waiver wire in most competitive leagues.
