Carroll (knee) met with reporters prior to Wednesday's game against the Hawks and said he's still planning on playing in a "couple games" before the regular season ends.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll has been sidelined since early January after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, and with scarce updates on the forward's status coming through in the last three months, speculation has grown that he'll be shut down for the season. Though Carroll refuted such ideas, he'll need to take part in full-contact practices with the Raptors before a return would seem like a realistic possibility. He's safe to leave on the waiver wire in most leagues at this point.

Carroll (knee) is not yet close to returning, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll seemed to be closing in on a return this season earlier in March, but it seems now that he will need more time in order to fully recover. However, he was never cleared for contact, and the Raptors have been quiet since about Carroll's status. This could mean that there has been a set-back in his recovery, and that the timeline for Carroll's return has been extended past the end of the regular season. Look for more updates regarding his status as the playoffs approach.

Carroll (knee) is not traveling with the Raptors on their three-game road swing, which begins Wednesday in Boston, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll remains without a timetable, as the Raptors' primary goal is to have him back for the postseason. He's been ramping up his activity of lat but is yet to return to full contact work, and at this point it's unclear whether he'll be back with the team before the conclusion of the regular season. Look for an update early next week when the team returns from the road trip, which concludes Saturday in New Orleans.

Carroll (knee) is hoping to make a comeback in late-March, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll underwent arthroscopic surgery in early January on his right knee but recently participated in one-on-one drills and apparently will be able to ramp things up over the next week or two. However, given the few remaining games on the schedule, Carroll may not be given a full workload in time to have a substantial role during the remainder of the regular season.

Carroll (knee) took part in one-on-one drills at practice Saturday, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll continues to slowly increase his activity level in recent practices as he works back from arthroscopic knee surgery back in January. Toronto has been able to maintain grasp of second place in the East in Carroll's absence, but the Raptors will certainly welcome back their best defender as soon as he's ready. The team has declined to offer a timeline, but Carroll appears on pace to return sometime in mid-to-late March, or as late as early-April.

Carroll (knee) is continuing to increase his involvement in drills during the Raptors' recent practices, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Teammate Patrick Patterson relayed that Carroll is "looking better every day," so it seems that the small forward is gradually inching closer to a return following his arthroscopic right knee surgery in early January. The Raptors resisted making any major moves at the trade deadline with the expectation that Carroll would give the team a lift during the stretch run, but the team hasn't revealed an updated timetable for when he'll be back on the floor. There should be a better idea about his return date once Carroll begins scrimmaging in practices.

Raptors GM Masai Ujiri reiterated Thursday that Carroll (knee) remains without a timetable for a return, Josh Lewenberg of TSN Radio 1050 AM reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though the Eastern Conference-leading Cavaliers made a small tweak to their roster by acquiring three-point shooting big man Channing Frye, the Raptors chose to stand pat at Thursday's trade deadline, with Ujiri indicating that Carroll's eventual return would qualify as a de facto in-season upgrade. It's still not clear when Carroll might be back in the fold, however, as he's yet to resume practicing with the team, though he is said to be progressing from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee January. Carroll had seen his numbers tail off prior to being shut down, but with the Raptors now willing to give him extended time off to fully heal up, he should notice improved production once he eventually returns.

Carroll (knee) was spotted taking jump shots prior to the Raptors' last game before the break Feb. 10 against the Timberwolves, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
It shouldn't be taken as evidence that Carroll is close to returning, but it's a step in the right direction for the forward after he was previously limited to shooting with his feet on the ground. The Raptors have yet to provide a timetable for Carroll's return, and he'll still probably need to test his surgically-repaired right knee out in practices before we'll have a better idea of when he might be back on the court.

Carroll (knee) told the media Monday that he's currently without a timetable for a return to the court, Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll was originally given a 6-8 week recovery period in early January following the arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. However, that initial estimate doesn't seem to be trustworthy any further, and it would be fairly surprising if he was able to rejoin his teammates before the All-Star Game on Feb. 13.

The early estimate for Carroll's recovery from an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee ranges between six-and-eight weeks, Bruce Arthur of the Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carroll had been operating at less than 100 percent after returning for five games following a nine-game absence due to a right knee contusion, and after he experienced renewed swelling following Sunday's loss to the Bulls, both player and team determined surgery was needed to address the matter. The knee scope should improve Carroll's long-term outlook for the duration of his four-year, $60 million contract, but his multi-week absence will deprive the Raptors of their top perimeter defender and three-point threat right in the meat of the regular-season schedule. During Carroll's extended hiatus, coach Dwane Casey will give James Johnson the first opportunity to start at small forward, but the playing time will likely be distributed fairly fluidly between Johnson, Terrence Ross, and Patrick Patterson.
