Fox will not play in Friday's preseason finale versus the Trail Blazers due to a stomach illness, Sean Cunningham of ABC 10 Sacramento reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Dave Joeger will also be sidelined with an illness, so it appears something could be going around in the locker room. It should not impact Fox's status for Wednesday's season opener against the Jazz. The 2017 lottery pick will look to improve his efficiency in his second season in order to earn more minutes.

Fox contributed 12 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five assists, three rebounds and one steal across 26 minutes during the Kings' 106-102 preseason win over the Suns on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The 2017 first-round pick got his exhibition slate off to a solid start with Monday's effort, particularly with respect to his shot. Fox drained only 41.2 percent of his 10.9 attempts last season, so improved offensive efficiency is undoubtedly a focus for him coming into his sophomore campaign. An experienced backup in Yogi Ferrell -- who exploded for a game-high 26 points in Monday's contest -- looms behind him on the depth chart, so Fox will need to remain consistent and productive to avoid losing minutes.

Fox (Achilles) will not participate in Las Vegas Summer League, Sean Cunningham of ABC 10 Sacramento reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Cunningham, Fox would not participate even if healthy -- news that doesn't come as much of a surprise considering he started 60 of his 73 appearances as a rookie and is a key piece in the Kings' rebuild. Aside from summer league, more information on Fox's Achilles injury may emerge in the upcoming days, though there's been nothing to suggest it's serious. All signs are pointing to him being ready for training camp.

Fox (Achilles) will remain out for Thursday's summer league matchup with the Heat, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fox is dealing with a sore Achilles and while it's not expected to be anything serious, the Kings will hold their young guard out as a precautionary measure in what is essentially a meaningless game. The Kings are also scheduled to play in the Vegas Summer League over the next few weeks and the team debuts on Saturday against the Suns, so there's a possibility Fox returns for that contest. Of course, there's also a chance the Kings opt to keep him out for the rest of the summer league entirely.

Fox is dealing with a sore left Achilles and will sit out Tuesday's summer league game against the Warriors, James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fox was dominant in his summer league debut Monday, tallying 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals. However, it appears he also came out of that contest with a sore left Achilles and the Kings aren't going to take any chances with his health. Fox will get the night off Tuesday as a result and at this point, it's unclear if Sacramento will give Fox the green light to return Thursday against the Heat. Guys like Frank Mason, Marcus Foster and Allerik Freeman could see added minutes at point guard in Fox's place.

Fox had 23 points (9-15 FG, 1-6 3PT, 4-6 FT), eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals in Monday's summer league win over the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
Last year's No. 5 overall pick looked like the best player on the floor for much of the game, and he converted eight of his nine attempts from inside the arc. Expect Fox to continue to be a key piece on the Kings' summer league roster, which features several players -- Justin Jackson, Frank Mason, Harry Giles, Marvin Bagley -- who will be in the rotation in 2018-19.

Fox pitched in 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), eight rebounds and four assists across 27 minutes in a 96-83 win over the Rockets on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie thus finished his first season in solid fashion, as he generated six straight double-digit scoring efforts to wrap up the campaign. The 20-year-old Fox also improved his work on the glass over the final four games, hauling in between six and nine boards in three of them. Although he unsurprisingly suffered through some stretches of inconsistency, the former Wildcat finished the campaign with 11.6 points (on 41.2 percent shooting), 4.4 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 steal across 27.8 minutes in 73 games (61 starts).

Fox registered 21 points (7-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven assists and four rebounds in 38 minutes during Mondays 98-85 loss to the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
The Kings can be thankful that their first-round pick turned out to be a winner, as Fox figures to be the centerpiece of Sacramento's rebuilding effort. The team will have to do some heavy lifting in the free agent market to field a team that can compete, but with Willie Cauley-Stein and Fox at the core, they at least have a foundation to build upon.

Fox managed 13 points (5-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals across 33 minutes in Friday's 94-93 win over the Grizzlies.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie was able to turn in one of his typically solid all-around lines, hitting double digits in the scoring column for the fourth consecutive game in the process. Fox has managed the feat despite shooting poorly over the last three games, as he's posted sub-40-percent success rates in each. However, he's helped prop up his production over the last two with some solid rebounding, averaging 7.5 boards during that span.

Fox finished with 14 points (3-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 39 minutes in Tuesday's 97-94 loss to the Suns.
EDGE Analysis
Another ragged performance from the field from the field kept Fox from an even bigger night, but a couple of timely threes and a perfect showing from the charity stripe helped prop up his final scoring tally. Meanwhile, he was very productive in other areas, with his rebound total serving as a career high. Fox also dished out at least five assists for the fifth straight game, and he could be primed for even bigger performances in remaining contests if he can snap out of the 9-for-32 shooting funk that's encompassed his last pair of contests.
