Arthur is recovering from surgery to repair his Achilles, and Memphis is gambling on the promise he showed during the 2010-11 season, when he averaged 9.1 points (49.7 percent FGs, 81.3 percent FTs), 4.3 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.8 blocks in just 20 minutes per game.
