Darrell Arthur (leg) is set to make his season debut against the Lakers on Friday.
Arthur hasn't played at all this season as he recovers from a fractured leg, but after going through a full-contact practice on November 13, the big man is ready to return. Coach Lionel Hollins will call on him in a reserve role, but we're not expecting him to suddenly become a fantasy asset in standard formats.

Darrell Arthur (fractured leg) went through full-contact practice on Tuesday, but there is no timetable for his return to the rotation.
Arthur hasn't played in a game since the 2011 playoffs, thanks to Achilles surgery and then the leg fracture, so it will take him a while to get up to speed. His return will be a welcome addition to the Grizzlies' imposing frontcourt, but he's unlikely to hold fantasy value in average leagues.

Darrell Arthur (leg) is traveling with the Grizzlies and is aiming to return Dec. 1.
Arthur has been cleared for low-impact conditioning. He says he'll return earlier if possible, but his fantasy value remains limited, at best.

Darrell Arthur (leg) will have an MRI on Monday to "gauge the healing" of his fracture.
Good news would result in Arthur returning to practice in non-contact fashion, but Arthur said he won't rush back too early from his injury. Although he's on schedule with his rehab, he won't be ready when the season begins this week, so Marreese Speights will serve as Zach Randolph's backup.

Darrell Arthur suffered a non-displaced fracture of his leg occurred on Saturday, but he's only expected to miss a few weeks, meaning he could be ready to start the season.
This is great news for Arthur, who missed last season with a ruptured Achilles. As noted earlier, his minutes won't be great this season, playing behind Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and Marreese Speights, but at least he won't spend the first couple months of the season in a full leg cast.

Grizzlies big man Darrell Arthur reportedly suffered a broken leg during a pickup game on Wednesday.
This keeps Arthur's string of miserable luck alive, as he missed last season after rupturing his Achilles. He wasn't going to get a ton of run behind Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and Marreese Speights, but this is another tough break for Arthur. No word yet on how long he might be out.

Darrell Arthur (Achilles) said he is currently 75 percent healthy, but will be ready for the start of the season.
Arthur missed the entire 2011-12 campaign with a torn Achilles tendon, but that didn't stop Memphis from re-signing him to a two-year deal earlier in the offseason. He may not be full speed during training camp, but barring any setbacks, he'll be ready to go when the season begins.

The Grizzlies signed PF Darrell Arthur on Friday.
Arthur reportedly had a two-year deal lined up for $9-10 million including a third-year option that sounds like a team option. Arthur had season-ending Achilles' surgery and it's not a foregone conclusion that he returns to the form he was in prior to the injury. Regardless, he's buried in the Grizzlies' now-crowded rotation up front.

The Grizzlies will reportedly sign Darrell Arthur to a two-year contract worth a total of $9-10 million.
There will be a third-year option, according to Chris Vernon, which we presume will be a team option. Arthur is recovering from Achilles surgery, so the short length of the deal is understandable from the Grizzlies' perspective, but if healthy Arthur and Marreese Speights give Memphis two excellent backups for Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph.
