Andrew Bynum (ankle) is officially listed as day-to-day and is considered questionable to play on Tuesday against the Nets. Bynum did not need an MRI and instead just received treatment, so it appears the Lakers were being forthright with the diagnosis of a "moderately" sprained ankle. The Lakers did not practice Monday, so owners will have to check back for an update following Tuesday's shootaround. If Bynum can't go, Troy Murphy could get the start.

Andrew Bynum (ankle) has been officially listed as day-to-day. There's no real update on Bynum Monday. He came in for treatment on his "moderately" sprained left ankle and is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nets. As of Sunday night, Bynum did not require a boot or crutches. Coach Mike Brown does not think the injury is "long-term."

Coach Mike Brown said he doesn't think Andrew Bynum (ankle) will be out "long-term." X-rays on Bynum's sprained left ankle were negative and he limped out of the arena Sunday without the aid of crutches, a boot or a golf cart. "I think it's OK," Brown said. "He was able to walk out, and I just saw him as he left. ... I don't think it's going to be long-term." Still, Bynum has to be considered very questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nets. The Lakers certainly won't rush him with the playoffs on the horizon.

X-rays were negative on Andrew Bynum's left ankle, but he has been diagnosed with a "moderate" sprain and will be re-evaluated on Monday. The Lakers' next game is on Tuesday, so we're forced to consider Bynum very questionable for that game -- if he can't suit up, Josh McRoberts and Troy Murphy will likely play heavy minutes alongside Pau Gasol. The timing of this injury could hardly be worse, but don't do anything rash until we hear an update on Monday afternoon.

Andrew Bynum limped into the locker room with an apparent left ankle injury during Sunday's game. We'll post an update once more is known.

Andrew Bynum scored 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting with 13 rebounds and four blocks in 41 minutes on Thursday against the Thunder. There was no fallout from Tuesday's benching, as expected, and the only problem on the court was that the Lakers didn't continuously go to Bynum, who the Thunder couldn't cover. Pau Gasol got a touchy fourth foul early in the third quarter that proved to be the turning point in the game, and he finished with 13 points, six rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block in the loss.

Coach Mike Brown said that Andrew Bynum was "great" in Wednesday's practice. This is noteworthy because Bynum was benched on Tuesday for taking an ill-advised 3-pointer and lacking defensive effort. We'd expect that to be water under the bridge come Thursday night's home showdown with Thunder. Barring another silly 3-point attempt, we'd expect a full complement of minutes for Bynum.

Andrew Bynum went through Wednesday's practice without any problems, one day after he was benched in the Lakers' win over Golden State. Mike Brown didn't talk about the incident, which started when Bynum launched an ill-adviced three and continued with him sulking on the bench, and we doubt it will have a significant impact going forward.

Andrew Bynum spent most of the second half of Tuesday's win sulking on the Lakers bench after being yanked from the floor after shooting a 3-pointer with a full shot clock early in the second half. Bynum returned briefly after the benching, but was disengaged and spent the rest of the half pouting on the bench and not participating in team huddles. He hit his first 3-pointer of the season near the end of Sunday's game, and mistakenly thought that gave him the green light from downtown going forward. The shot was ridiculous (and way off), and Bynum's behavior after being pulled will be a big story on Wednesday. But chances are this is handled in-house and he'll be good to go for Thursday's game against the Thunder. Stay tuned.

Andrew Bynum scored 28 points on 12-of-20 shooting with nine rebounds and three assists in the Lakers' win over the Blazers on Friday. Bynum and Pau Gasol dominated down low, as Gasol added 10 points on 5-of-14 shooting with 16 rebounds, six assists, and two blocks. As for Bynum, he's going to be a constant thread among fantasy championship teams this season.
