The Tampa Bay Rays claimed right-hander Zack Littell off waivers from the Boston Red Sox on Friday, according to a source. In a corresponding move to open up a spot on the team's 40-man roster, pitcher Garrett Cleavinger (knee) was moved to the 60-day injured list. The Minnesota Twins have officially recalled pitcher Gabriel Moya from Triple-A Rochester after demoting pitcher Zack Littell. The 22-year-old got knocked around in his first major league start against the Chicago White Sox on June 5 and was immediately optioned back down to Triple-A. In his latest start for the Rochester Red Wings, Littell went six innings, allowed two runs, and struck out four batters. He will reportedly serve middle inning relief for the Twins now.
