Plesac allowed five runs (four earned) on two hits and three walks with six strikeouts in four innings, taking a no-decision versus Detroit on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
While he was better at limiting baserunners than he was last Tuesday, a pair of errors by Cleveland's defense didn't make Plesac's job any easier. The right-hander has just one quality start in five outings since the All-Star break. He's posted a 4.84 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 58:19 K:BB across 89.1 innings this year. Plesac will likely get a rematch with the Tigers in Detroit for his next start.

Plesac (6-4) allowed six runs on 10 hits and did not strike out a batter through five innings, taking the loss in Tuesday's 7-2 defeat at the hands of the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Tuesday's disastrous five innings are the latest in what has been a tough run of play for Plesac. George Springer greeted the right-hander with a leadoff homer in the first, making it eight consecutive starts in which Plesac has allowed a home run. Two batters later, Teoscar Hernandez got in on the fun, launching a two-run shot off the former Ball State Cardinal. The six earned runs charged to Plesac on Tuesday match his season-high. Since returning from a thumb injury on July 8, the 26-year-old has an ERA pushing six with only 14 strikeouts in 26.2 innings pitched.

Plesac (6-3) allowed two earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four across five innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac faltered early by allowing two runs in his first three innings of work. However, he managed to avoid further damage to preserve the lead and work deep enough into the game to qualify for the win. In four starts since returning from the injured list, Plesac has allowed 11 earned runs across 21.2 innings while striking out only 14.

Plesac didn't factor into the decision Friday against Tampa Bay after allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while fanning three across 6.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac gave up a third-inning homer to Nelson Cruz but was solid the rest of the way, and he was well on his way to earn the win until the bullpen gave up six runs in the top of the ninth. It wasn't Plesac's finest outing, however, and the fact that he has given up at least three runs in four of his last five appearances isn't exactly encouraging, either. He owns a 4.30 ERA on the season and is expected to make his next start during next week's road series against the White Sox.

Plesac (5-3) allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out three across six innings, earning the win Sunday over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac surrendered a home run to Seth Brown in the fifth inning to tie the game. However, Cleveland added a run in the seventh frame to set up Plesac with the win. The 26-year-old missed six weeks with a thumb injury and has had an inconsistent season. He carries a 4.19 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP in 68.2 innings. His next start is scheduled for Friday against the Rays.

Plesac, in his first start after coming off the injured list due to a thumb injury, went four innings Thursday against Kansas City, allowing three runs on five hits with four strikeouts. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first start since May 23, Plesac held the Royals off the board for the first two innings before yielding a Whit Merrifield RBI single in the third and solo homers by Carlos Santana and Hunter Dozier in the fourth. Plesac threw 38 of his 55 pitches for strikes and didn't issue a walk, encouraging indicators after a lengthy layoff. Plesac, who is 4-3 in 11 starts with a 4.31 ERA and 1.04 WHIP, is slated to make his first start of the second half against Oakland.

Plesac (thumb) was activated from the 10-day injured list and will start Thursday versus the Royals, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander will make his first start since suffering a non-displaced thumb fracture May 23, and he's expected to be limited to about 60 pitches. Plesac will need to be efficient in order to cover the five innings needed to qualify for a potential win, so his fantasy outlook is a bit limited for his first start off the IL.

Plesac (thumb) will be activated to start Thursday's game against the Royals but will only throw about 60 pitches, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cleveland's plan is to have Plesac go to Arizona and continue stretching out for longer starts during the All-Star break. If all goes well, he'll be a full-length starter for the team after the break. Plesac posted a 4.14 ERA in 58.2 innings before injuring himself after his May 24 start.

Pleasac (thumb) will make his second rehab start with Double-A Akron on Saturday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac struggled some in his first rehab outing, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk across just 1.2 innings Tuesday. It's not clear if he'll need another minor-league start after Saturday, but that decision could likely depend on whether he's able to be more effective in his second start with Akron. If Cleveland decides to bring him back following Saturday's outing, he could line up to take the ball at some point during next weekend's series against the Royals.

Plesac (thumb) will make a rehab start with Double-A Akron on Tuesday, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac has been working through a throwing program for about three weeks in his recovery from a broken thumb. It's unclear how many starts he'll make on his rehab assignment with Akron, but if it's no more than two, he has a chance to return to Cleveland prior to the All-Star break.
