Plesac allowed two hits and a walk while striking out four over three scoreless innings in Friday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
This was Plesac's best start of the spring so far as he gets ramped up for a spot in the rotation this season. A thumb injury cost him time in 2021, but he's fully healthy heading into 2022. The right-hander had a 4.67 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 100:34 K:BB across 142.2 innings in 25 starts last season. Plesac is a gamble in fantasy -- his best season came in a small sample in 2020, while his other two major-league campaigns have been much more pedestrian. If Eli Morgan or Sam Hentges show well, they could be options to replace Plesac in the rotation if he has another uneven season.

Plesac allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two across six innings Wednesday against the Royals. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac allowed a three-run home run to Salvador Perez in the opening inning before recording an out, which went a long way to sinking his final start of the season. He allowed two additional runs in the following frame, but he settled down to complete at least six innings for the third time in his last four outings. Plesac will close the campaign with a 4.67 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 100 strikeouts across 142.2 innings. Though he's shown consistently strong control, Plesac has allowed 1.4 HR/9 across 313.2 career frames and also has an unremarkable 19.2 percent career strikeout rate.

Plesac allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four across 5.1 innings in the win over the White Sox in Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Plesac surrendered two runs on an Andrew Vaughn single in the sixth inning. He has been solid as of late, carrying a 3.60 ERA in 35 innings over his last six starts. On the season, the 26-year-old has a 4.54 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with 98 punchouts in 136.2 innings.

Plesac (10-6) took the loss Friday versus the Yankees. He allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings.
EDGE Analysis
While Cleveland at least put seven runners on base in the contest, the offense didn't provide Plesac with much support after giving him no hits in his last start. The 26-year-old wasn't very sharp Friday either, allowing home runs to Joey Gallo and Aaron Judge before running into more trouble in the seventh inning. Through 131.1 innings this year, Plesac has a 4.59 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 94:30 K:BB. He lines up for a home start versus Kansas City next week.

Plesac (10-5) allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings, taking the loss versus Milwaukee on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
For the third time this season, Cleveland's offense mustered zero hits in one of Plesac's starts. To the 26-year-old's credit, he rebounded after a tough first two innings to earn a quality start despite the loss. The right-hander has a 4.45 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 88:29 K:BB through 125.1 innings this season. He's limited opponents to three or fewer runs in each of his last four starts. Plesac is projected to make his next start on the road against the Yankees next weekend.

Plesac (10-4) allowed three runs on eight hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings to earn the win Sunday versus Boston.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander put quite a bit of traffic on the basepaths, but Boston proved unable to capitalize until the fifth inning. Cleveland was able to hold onto its lead, giving Plesac his 10th win of the year in his 21st start. He's been solid across 119.1 innings, posting a 4.53 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 85:27 K:BB this season. With Cleveland at least temporarily shifting to a six-man rotation, Plesac's next start is currently projected for Saturday at home versus Milwaukee.

Plesac (9-4) picked up a win pitching seven scoreless innings while giving up two hits and no walks, striking out seven in Tuesday's win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old was very sharp in this start, limiting the damage to a first-inning single by Whit Merrifield and a fourth-inning Nicky Lopez double. It was his first scoreless start since May 7 versus the Reds and the starter had struggled to an ERA of 6.33 over his prior five starts in August. He'll look to continue his success from this outing in his next one versus the Red Sox in Boston on Sunday.

Plesac (8-4) picked up the win in Wednesday's 7-2 victory over the Rangers, allowing two runs on eight hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander ran out of steam in the sixth inning and exited after 97 pitches (57 strikes), falling just short of his eighth quality start of the season, though the Cleveland offense made sure the win was never in doubt. Plesac will take a 4.78 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 73:24 K:BB through 107.1 innings into his next outing.

Plesac allowed six runs (five earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out two in 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus Minnesota on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was alright until the fifth inning when Minnesota rallied for the lead. Plesac has completed five or fewer innings in four of his last five starts. The 26-year-old owns a 4.87 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 69:21 K:BB across 101.2 innings this season. Plesac will look to get back on track next week versus Texas.

Plesac (7-4) picked up the win in Friday's 7-4 victory over the Tigers, allowing two runs on five hits over 7.2 innings. He struck out nine without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander set a new season high in strikeouts while working his longest outing since May 13. Plesac also served up at least one homer in his 10th straight start, but that Eric Haase blast was the only blemish on his seventh quality start of the year. He sports a 4.64 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 67:19 K:BB through 97 innings this season.
