This was Plesac's best start of the spring so far as he gets ramped up for a spot in the rotation this season. A thumb injury cost him time in 2021, but he's fully healthy heading into 2022. Plesac is a gamble in fantasy -- his best season came in a small sample in 2020, while his other two major-league campaigns have been much more pedestrian. If Eli Morgan or Sam Hentges show well, they could be options to replace Plesac in the rotation if he has another uneven season.

Cleveland was able to hold onto its lead, giving Plesac his 10th win of the year in his 21st start. He's been solid across 119.1 innings, posting a 4.53 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 85:27 K:BB this season. With Cleveland at least temporarily shifting to a six-man rotation, Plesac's next start is currently projected for Saturday at home versus Milwaukee.

Plesac (9-4) picked up a win pitching seven scoreless innings while giving up two hits and no walks, striking out seven in Tuesday's win over the Royals.

The 26-year-old was very sharp in this start, limiting the damage to a first-inning single by Whit Merrifield and a fourth-inning Nicky Lopez double.
