Eflin (knee) was placed on the 15-day DL Tuesday with patellar tendinopathy in both knees, Ryan Lawrence of ThePhillyVoice reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it's the first report of Eflin dealing with knee issues this season, he could have been bothered by it in his past three starts as he's given up a combined 20 earned runs during that time. He'll now head to the disabled list to refresh his knees.

Eflin (3-5) struggled for the third straight start, allowing seven runs on seven hits and two walks while failing to record a strikeout over three innings in Monday's loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin has been atrocious in his last three outings, allowing 20 earned runs in just 13 innings. The rookie has been gifting the opposition baserunners with nine walks in that span, while also getting hammered for six homers. He helped his own cause with two hits and a run in this one, but that does little to ease the pain of a terrible performance in the league's most pitcher-friendly venue. It only gets harder from here with a home match Sunday against the dangerous Rockies lineup.

Eflin gave up six runs on six hits over five innings, but came away with a no-decision as the Phillies offense exploded for a 13-8 win over the Giants. He walked three and struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin shouldn't make a habit of expecting Philadelphia's 29th-ranked offense to bail him out, and it's disappointing that he couldn't hang on for a win after being staked to a six-run lead through two innings. The rookie has hit a wall since pitching a complete game three-hitter against the Pirates, surrendering 13 earned runs in just 10 inning over two starts since. Perhaps a road date with a below-average Padres lineup can help cure his recent woes.

Eflin (3-4) was torched in Wednesday's loss to the Marlins. He pitched five innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits and four walks while striking out just one.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie entered Monday's contest flying high after dealing a three-hit shutout against the Pirates in his last start, but Eflin was quickly grounded when Giancarlo Stanton blasted a 430-foot homer to make the score 3-0 in the first. Having allowed just six runs in his four previous starts combined, Eflin had his ERA down to 3.40 before having it blown up to 4.23 by the Fish. Outside of his MLB debut on July 14 versus the Blue Jays (eight earned runs in 2.2 innings), the 22-year-old has given the fantasy world more than most could have expected, including a run of six straight quality starts that ended with this one. However, Eflin's down performance at Marlins Park is a reminder of that rarely should caution be thrown into the wind when it comes to a rookie.

Eflin tossed a three-hit, complete game shutout in Friday's 4-0 win over the Pirates. He struck out six and did not walk a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin needed just 100 pitches to notch the second complete game of his young career and faced just two batters over the minimum. He has allowed just six earned runs in his last four starts, lowering his ERA to 3.40.

Eflin (2-3) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings Sunday, striking out two, in a 5-0 loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the quality start, his fourth in his last five outings, Eflin's biggest contribution Sunday might have been a third-inning single that proved to be the only hit Jacob deGrom would give up on the day. Eflin now has a thoroughly respectable 4.14 ERA on the season, but his 20:8 K:BB in 41.1 innings suggests he'll be hard-pressed to maintain it. His next start will come Friday in Pittsburgh.

Eflin (2-2) gave up two earned runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings in Sunday's 10-3 victory over the Rockies. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
On the heels of a complete-game shutout of the Braves on July 5, Eflin put together an encore that in some ways was just as impressive, considering the quality of opposition and the fact the game was played in Coors Field. Eflin pitched efficiently, averaging just 15 pitches an inning, and stayed away from the long ball altogether against a lineup that's certainly capable of exploding in any given at-bat. Outside of a thoroughly forgettable debut on June 14 where he gave up eight earned runs in 2.2 innings to the Blue Jays, Eflin has actually acquitted himself very well, coming just one out short of notching five straight quality starts subsequent to that outing. He'll look to continue his development over the second half of the season.

Eflin (1-2) tossed a complete game, allowing one run on six hits while striking out six Tuesday against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie right-hander picked up his first MLB win in style, becoming just the second Phillies' pitcher to throw a complete game this year (the first since Vince Velasquez did it on April 14). After a disastrous debut on June 14 against the Blue Jays (nine runs allowed in 2.2 innings), Eflin has settled in nicely to the team's rotation. In his four starts since the shelling in Toronto, the 22-year-old has a 2.03 ERA to go alongside a tidy 13:1 K:BB.

Eflin (0-2) allowed four runs, three of which were earned, on six hits while striking out three over six innings Wednesday at the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin left the contest with a one-run deficit, but the offense was able to rally to take him off the hook for a potential loss. After getting bombed in his first start of the year, he's now allowed six earned runs in his last 17.2 innings covering three starts, and he's been better than the 5.75 ERA he currently holds. He'll make his next start Tuesday against the Braves.

Eflin allowed just an unearned run on five hits over six innings Friday against the Giants. He struck out one and did not walk a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Eflin was shelled in his debut against Toronto, but has a 1.54 ERA in two starts since that outing. Manager Pete Mackanin told Todd Zolecki of MLB.com after Friday's start that Eflin deserves a longer look in the rotation. He'll make his next start Wednesday in Arizona against the Diamondbacks.
