Buehler (ribs) is expected to toss a bullpen session Saturday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
There remains no timeline for Buehler's return, but it's positive news that he's throwing once again. His return should become more clear once he feels healthy enough to throw against live hitters. Buehler has been on the shelf since June 12.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts suggested over the weekend that there is no definitive timeline for Buehler's (ribs) return from the 10-day disabled list, Kaelen Jones of MLB.com reports. "Walker is feeling better with time," Roberts said. "He's playing catch. But as far as a timetable, when he'll make a start again for us, I'm not certain."
EDGE Analysis
Buehler was placed on the DL on June 12 after suffering a right rib microfracture during his outing against the Braves four days earlier. The injury will keep the rookie sidelined beyond the minimum 10 days, but the Dodgers are holding out hope that an extended absence won't be necessary. Even so, don't expect the team to have a clearer idea of when Buehler might be available until he progresses to mound work and faces hitters in live batting practice.

Buehler (ribs) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday with a right rib microfracture.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler was reportedly only dealing with a rib bruise, but an MRI revealed the microfracture Tuesday, Pedro Moura of The Athletic Los Angeles reports, which is likely to have the right-hander on the shelf for a couple weeks. The 23-year-old was struck by a 108-mph line drive May 21, and ended up pitching through the injury three additional times. Buehler has been fantastic with a 2.63 ERA and 0.95 WHIP and 54 strikeouts across 51.1 innings this season, as the Dodgers send yet another starting pitcher to the disabled list.

Buehler underwent X-rays on Saturday and was diagnosed with bruised ribs, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler exited Friday's start against the Braves after 5.1 innings with an undisclosed injury, so the diagnosis of a relatively minor rib injury is fantastic news. The 23-year-old will remain on the active roster for now but his status for Wednesday's expected start against the Rangers is up in the air. Regardless of whether he misses a turn in the rotation, Buehler doesn't appear poised for an extended absence.

Buehler exited Friday's game against the Braves with an apparent injury, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler made it through 5.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits while striking out four before being lifted from the game. The trainer came out to check on Buehler in the sixth, and it was determined that he couldn't continue. The location and severity of the injury is unknown, but more news about his status should be released in the near future.

Buehler didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 12-4 win over the Rockies, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie emerged relatively unscathed from his first start at Coors Field, giving up a four-spot in the second inning but otherwise keeping the Rockies off the board. Buehler threw 54 of 84 pitches for strikes, and Saturday was the first time in eight trips to the mound this season in which he struck out fewer than six batters. He'll carry a 2.74 ERA into his next outing Thursday in Pittsburgh.

X-rays on Buehler's ribs were negative after Monday's game against the Rockies, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was fortunate to avoid a serious injury after being struck by a 108-mph comebacker off the bat of Trevor Story. Buehler appeared in serious pain but convinced the training staff and manager Dave Roberts that he was fine to continue on. He completed two-plus frames after the incident to lower his ERA to 2.38 through 34 innings this season. While Buehler may only have 100 innings or so left in his arm this season, the quality of his innings should remain extremely high.

Buehler allowed one run on two hits and struck out six over seven innings but was stuck with a no-decision Monday against Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
For the second time in his past three outings, Buehler didn't walk a single batter. The only blemish on his night was a fifth-inning solo home run by Gerardo Parra. Otherwise, Buehler was brilliant, as he kept hitters off balance all night with a blazing fastball that topped out at 97.3 mph and an array of breaking pitches (changeup, slider and knuckle-curve) that held opposing hitters to 0-for-7 on balls in play. Buehler is 2-1 with a 2.38 ERA and could have an even stronger record if only the Dodgers offense would give him some support, but alas, they were only able to muster one run against Colorado's German Marquez. Buehler will look for his third win again Sunday against the Padres.

Buehler will remain in the Dodgers' starting rotation, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler was up originally as just an injury fill-in, but after throwing six innings of no-hit ball Friday against the Padres he's now viewed as a permanent member of the rotation. Through 16 innings so far this season, the young righty has a 1.13 ERA. His 11.1 percent walk rate is a bit high, but he more than makes up for it with a stellar strikeout rate (30.2 percent) and groundball rate (63.9 percent). His innings total could be a concern, as he threw just 98 innings last year, but with the Dodgers already six games back of the Diamondbacks in the NL West, that's a problem they'll have to wait to address.

Buehler was recalled from High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Buehler will head to the majors to start Friday's contest with the Padres in Mexico. The young starting pitcher will duel with Joey Lucchesi in the series opener. To make room for him on the active roster, Edward Paredes was optioned to Triple-A.
