Buehler (ribs) will make a start sometime next weekend against the Angels, Pedro Moura of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.
EDGE Analysis
After tossing a simulated game Sunday without any issues, the Dodgers will give Buehler a start prior to the All-Star Game. It's unclear which day he'll pitch, but he could be slated to throw Sunday in an effort to give Rich Hill a breather, as he's been dealing with a stiff neck. Through nine starts in 2018, Buehler has posted a 3.44 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with a 54:12 K:BB over 52.1 innings.

Buehler (ribs) will throw a simulated game Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler threw a bullpen session Friday which potentially set him up to start against the Padres on Monday. Instead the Dodgers plan to have him throw a simulated game Sunday with Rich Hill's neck issue not expected to force him to miss a start. Manager Dave Roberts indicated he would like Buehler to start a game next weekend prior to the All-Star break, but it remains to be seen whether that would be at the major-league level.

Buehler (ribs) could rejoin the Dodgers' rotation Monday in San Diego, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He threw a bullpen session Friday, which sets him up to start somewhere on Monday, it's just not clear if that will be for a minor-league affiliate or for the big club. That is also the first day he is eligible to come off the disabled list. If Rich Hill (neck) is able to pitch early next week, Buehler may have to wait to return to the majors, but given Hill's injury track record, that's very much up in the air.

Buehler (ribs) will throw a simulated game Sunday and then return to the Dodgers, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler tossed three innings for High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday, allowing a run on two hits and a walk while striking out five batters. He'll return to the Dodgers soon after his sim game, provided that goes well, ending a month-long period in which he tossed just one disastrous inning for the team.

Buehler (ribs) was placed on the 10-day disabled list and begins a rehab assignment at High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday, Pedro Moura of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers initially indicated Buehler was optioned to Rancho Cucamonga after jumping the gun on his return from a right rib microfracture last week, but instead opted to return him to the disabled list for a rehab assignment. It's more of a procedural move than anything, but still represents a turbulent week for the rookie right-hander. The 23-year-old will still have at least two minor-league rehab appearances and a return prior to the All-Star break appears possible, but with the rest of the Dodgers' starting rotation currently healthy they could opt to take a more cautious approach this time around.

Buehler will make at least two starts in the minors before returning to the Dodgers' active roster, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being sidelined for most of June with a right rib microfracture, Buehler bypassed a minor-league rehab assignment last week and was instead activated from the 10-day disabled list to come out of the bullpen and piggyback starter Clayton Kershaw. That plan proved disastrous, however, as Buehler was tagged for five runs over one inning to take the loss in what had been a tightly-contested game. With the Los Angeles rotation back to full strength following the recent returns of Kershaw and Rich Hill from the DL, Buehler was sent back to High-A Rancho Cucamonga and will make a start with the affiliate Tuesday. He'll presumably be stretched out in preparation for an eventual return to a starting role with the Dodgers, with Roberts perhaps willing to roll with a six-man rotation if the other five starters remain both healthy and effective. Look for Buehler to rejoin the big club shortly before or immediately after the All-Star break.

Buehler will take the hill Tuesday for High-A Rancho Cucamonga, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler was optioned to the minors after a poor outing against the Cubs, as he surrendered five runs in just one inning of work. The Dodgers hope to stretch him out in the minors, with a possible return to the big club in mid-July if he performs as expected.

Buehler has been optioned to High-A Rancho Cucamonga, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler did not look ready to return Thursday, when he allowed five runs in one inning of work against the Cubs. The plan will likely be for Buehler to stretch out at Rancho Cucamonga, and after a few starts in which he can get his pitch count back to where it needs to be -- assuming he performs as expected -- he can come back to the majors. Buehler will need to spend at least 10 days in the minors, so expect a return in mid-to-late July. Expect a corresponding move to be announced before Saturday night's game.

Buehler's next appearance and his role in that appearance remain up in the air, manager Dave Roberts said Friday night, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Roberts said earlier Friday that Buehler would take his start Tuesday against Pittsburgh and throw roughly four innings and 60 pitches, if possible. Now it's unclear if Buehler will head to the bullpen or possibly the minor leagues to get stretched out. Until we hear a confirmation, we'll still consider Buehler the probable starter Tuesday, but keep a sharp eye out for updates this weekend.

Manager Dave Roberts told MLB Network Radio that Buehler will start Tuesday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler made a surprise return from the DL on Thursday, pitching in relief of Clayton Kershaw instead of making his previously scheduled minor-league rehab start. That appearance did not go well (five earned runs in one inning), but Buehler had a 2.63 ERA in his first nine starts and there was little doubt that he would slot back into the rotation eventually. He figures to face limited pitch counts in his next couple starts after throwing only 35 pitches in his return.
