Buehler will start Friday against the Phillies in place of Clayton Kershaw (hip), who was placed on the 15-day injured list, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old was scheduled to start on five days rest Saturday but will have his outing moved up a day due to Kershaw's injury. Buehler has a 1.96 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 32:9 K:BB through 36.2 innings this season, though his 21.8 percent strikeout rate would be a career low.

Buehler (4-1) got the win during Sunday's 7-1 victory over the Cubs, allowing one run on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts in seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler permitted a run on two hits in the first inning but was lights out thereafter, and fell in line for the win after Los Angeles took the lead in the fourth. The 27-year-old has rebounded with three excellent outings -- one run allowed across 21 innings -- following three mediocre turns to open the season. He carries a 1.96 ERA into his next start, tentatively scheduled to come against Philadelphia on Saturday.

Buehler (3-1) registered the win during Sunday's 6-3 victory over Detroit, allowing six hits and one walk with five strikeouts in five scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Though his final line looks solid, Buehler had to work hard to go the minimum five frames for the win. He escaped a bases loaded jam in the second inning and a two-on, one-out situation in the fourth. The 27-year-old has now gone two starts without allowing a run, lowering his ERA to 2.12, though his 1.11 WHIP would stand to be a career high. Buehler lines up to face the Cubs next weekend.

Buehler (2-1) earned the win over Arizona on Monday, tossing nine shutout innings during which he allowed three hits and struck out 10.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler dominated from start to finish in the impressive performance, retiring eight of the Diamondbacks' first nine batters and 16 of their final 17. The right-hander induced 14 swinging strikes, racked up a season-high 10 punchouts and didn't walk a batter for the first time in four starts. The shutout was both the first of Buehler's career and the first in MLB this season. He's started the season off well, posting a 2.55 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB across 24.2 innings. Buehler is in line to make his next start against Detroit on Sunday.

Buehler (1-1) took the loss during Tuesday's 3-1 defeat against Atlanta, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk with two strikeouts in five innings.
EDGE Analysis
The typically sharp Buehler labored in this one as he permitted baserunners in each inning and all three runs came in separate frames, though he was able to keep his pitch count at 79 due to an uncharacteristically low two strikeouts. The bullpen kept Atlanta off the board but opposing starter Max Fried was untouchable all night and Los Angeles was only able to scratch across one run late. The 27-year-old Buehler has now surrendered multiple runs while failing to reach six innings or six strikeouts in any of his three starts. He has a prime opportunity to get back on track with his next start scheduled to take place in Arizona on Monday.

Buehler pitched 5.2 innings against Cincinnati on Thursday, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four. He didn't factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler wasn't at his sharpest in the Dodgers' home opener, throwing only 60 of 98 pitches for strikes and walking three batters. However, he kept the Reds off the scoreboard for five innings and needed one more out to notch his first quality start of the campaign before Aristides Aquino ended his night with a two-out, two-run homer in the sixth. Buehler has been fine through his first two starts, allowing four runs and registering a 9:5 K:BB across 10 frames. He was commonly drafted as a top-five pitcher in fantasy leagues, however, so his managers would love to get more from him, especially in terms of strikeouts. Buehler's next start is lined up to come at home against Atlanta on Tuesday.

Buehler (1-0) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks over five innings Friday, striking out five and picking up a win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
All the damage against Buehler came in the second inning when he coughed up two runs on three hits. The 27-year-old righty kept the Rockies scoreless for the next three frames, finishing his outing with 78 pitches (53 strikes). He posted a 6.52 ERA in 9.2 innings this spring as he works to shake off the rust from a long offseason. Buehler is expected to face the Reds at home next week.

Buehler was named the Dodgers' Opening Day starter Thursday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The torch has officially been passed at Dodger Stadium. For the first time since 2010, a healthy Clayton Kershaw will watch from the dugout on Opening Day. (Kershaw wasn't the team's Opening Day starter in 2019 or 2020 but was on the injured list both times.) The honor is a deserved one for Buehler, who's coming off a season in which he posted a career-best 2.47 ERA, a mark that beat Kershaw by over a run. Buehler will take on the Rockies in Coors Field to kick off the season on April 8 and then will either face the Twins in Minnesota or the Reds at home the following week, depending on whether the Dodgers use their April 11 off day to skip a starter or give their pitchers an extra day of rest.

Buehler tossed 4.2 innings against Cincinnati on Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler made it through three scoreless innings before allowing a solo homer to Jonathan India in the fourth and yielding another run in the fifth. The right-hander threw 53 pitches in the outing, which is a good sign considering this was his first appearance of the spring. Clayton Kershaw may be the sentimental favorite to take the mound for the Dodgers on Opening Day, but in fantasy circles, Buehler is without question the team's top pitcher.

Buehler took the loss in Game 6 of the NLCS against Atlanta, giving up four runs on seven hits in four innings of work. He struck out six while walking three.
EDGE Analysis
Buehler was put in a tough position, starting on short rest after Max Scherzer was scratched due to arm fatigue. He gave up one run on an Austin Riley double in the first inning but avoided any trouble in the next two frames. He retired the first two batters in the fourth inning but allowed a walk and a double followed by a three-run blast from Eddie Rosario. Buehler will end the postseason with a 4.91 ERA in four starts, only one of which lasted more than 4.1 innings.
