Davis struck out two in a perfect ninth for his fifth save Wednesday against San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
Davis bounced back from his first blown save and two consecutive appearances in which he allowed a run with a pristine inning against the Padres. He fired seven strikes out of just eight pitches to close the inning with ease and is now 5-for-6 in save opportunities with his new club.

Davis blew the save Saturday against the Braves, allowing a run on two hits and a walk in the ninth inning. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
The damage was limited thanks to a great leaping catch by Trevor Story to end the inning, but this marks the second consecutive appearance in which Davis has allowed a run. The righty still possesses a 5:2 K:BB in 4.1 innings pitched this season, keeping with his strong career numbers that have him in the upper echelon of closers in the league.

Davis allowed one earned run on one hit and no walks while striking out two across one inning to earn the save Thursday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Davis has gotten off to a hot start this season, earning a save in all of the Rockies' four wins. He was touched up for his first hit and run allowed of the season on a home run by Manuel Margot, but has looked like an elite closer otherwise.

Davis retired a single batter to record his second save of the season during Monday's 7-4 win over San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
The Padres were mounting a comeback with two ninth-inning runs, which forced Davis to the mound to record the final out. He's now pitched in consecutive games and collected a save in each without allowing a baserunner. It's a strong start for the veteran righty, and Davis has now converted 34 of his past 35 save opportunities dating back to the beginning of last year -- he went 4-for-4 in the postseason with Chicago, too.

Davis struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his first save of the season in a 2-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first appearance as a Rockie, Davis dispatched the bottom of Arizona's batting order with relative ease, fanning Ketel Marte and Nick Ahmed to close things out. The 32-year-old racked up 59 saves in 63 chances for the Royals and Cubs over the last two seasons, and while his ratios may take a hit pitching half his games at Coors Field, Davis should remain a strong source of saves with his new club.

Davis allowed two runs on two hits in as many Cactus League innings this spring.
EDGE Analysis
The closer was sharp in his first spring outing against the Brewers, but things got a bit more dicey in his second appearance against the Rangers. Drew Robinson took the right-hander deep in the fifth inning of Davis' most recent outing, highlighting the reliever's 26-pitch frame. Davis hasn't had much trouble with home runs in the past (career 0.8 HR/9), but it remains to be seen how his arsenal will play in the thin Colorado air.

Davis agreed to a three-year, $52 million contract with Colorado on Friday, with a fourth-year option for an addition $15 million, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
As first reported by Jess Passan of Yahoo Sports, Davis will be the latest reliever to set up shop at Coors Field. Although the club re-signed Jake McGee and added Bryan Shaw to the mix, there should be no mistaking that Davis will be the ninth-inning man for this upcoming season. In 2017 with the Cubs, Davis posted a 2.30 ERA and 1.14 WHIP, with a 79:28 K:BB ratio in 58.2 innings. He only blew one save in 33 opportunities, and even though his raw numbers don't stack up with some of his best years with the Royals, he was still able to be one of the most effective closers in the game, posting a career high swinging-strike rate of 15.4 percent. One area to watch for has been his fastball velocity, as it has dipped from 95.9 mph in 2015 to 94.3 this past year, and with a change of scenery to the hitter-friendly confines of Coors Field, the 32-year-old may not reach the lofty ERA numbers that he did in years past. That said, Davis is still going to be one of the most sought after closers on the fantasy market, and will have strong value in 2018.

Davis officially declined his qualifying offer from the Cubs on Thursday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
By electing to forego the one-year, $17.4 million offer, Davis will become a free agent, though the Cubs will receive draft pick compensation if he ends up signing elsewhere. The 32-year-old shouldn't have trouble finding a multi-year deal after his stellar 2017 campaign, during which he converted 32 of his 33 save chances while compiling a 2.30 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 58.2 innings.

Davis received a one-year qualifying offer from the Cubs on Monday, the Chicago Sun Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davis is coming off a season where he earned $10.0 million, which makes Monday's offering of $17.4 million from the Cubs pretty enticing. Although, it's possible that Davis could land a more lucrative deal if he elects to forego the offer and enter free agency. The 32-year-old has 10 days to make his decision.

Davis pitched a scoreless ninth inning in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals, allowing a single hit.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't a save situation, but the Cubs didn't mess around with a chance to clinch the NL Central. Davis has been used fairly heavily in recent weeks as the team made its playoff push, so look for him to possibly get some rest over the weekend before firing up for the NLDS.
