Taylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Though he's the best defensive center fielder on the Mets' roster, Taylor has faded into a part-time role due to his weak bat, as he's slashing .167/.219/.258 in June. He'll hit the bench for the fourth time in six games while Jeff McNeil gets the nod in center field.

EDGE Analysis
For the second straight game and third time over the last five contests, the Mets will go with Jeff McNeil in center field over Taylor, while Ronny Mauricio handles second base. Taylor is slashing only .190/.250/.293 in 20 June games.

Taylor went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Tuesday's loss against Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor provided most of the Mets' offense Tuesday with a two-run double in the second inning and a solo shot in the fifth. He'd been stuck in an ugly 9-for-53 (.170) skid since his last multi-hit performance May 23. He went deep for the second time this year and first since April 30. Taylor is slashing .236/.300/.351 with 15 extra-base hits and 19 runs scored through 65 games.

Taylor went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder is up to eight steals on the season in nine attempts, and half of those successful pilfers have come in his last 12 games. Taylor isn't offering much else as a fantasy asset, however -- over that stretch he's batting just .226 (7-for-31) with zero homers, zero runs and three RBI while consistently hitting near the bottom of the Mets' order. Due to his defense, he'll continue seeing the bulk of the starts in center field until Jose Siri (lower leg) gets healthy, but upgrading the position figures to be one of the front office's top priorities as the trade deadline approaches.

Taylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor will head to the bench for the second time in the Mets' last three matchups with right-handed pitching. Though he's the best defensive center fielder on the roster, Taylor could nonetheless be at risk of losing out on regular starts against righties if the Mets are keen on making room in the lineup for the more potent bats of Jeff McNeil, Ronny Mauricio and Jared Young.
