Mahle was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Mahle suffered the injury during his start Friday against the Cardinals. The injury doesn't appear to be a particularly severe one, as he initially hoped to make his next scheduled start Wednesday against the Brewers and was able to throw Sunday. Sal Romano was recalled in a corresponding move, though he's predominantly been a reliever with Triple-A Louisville this season, so another move may be coming prior to Wednesday's contest.

Mahle (hamstring) threw before Sunday's game against the Cardinals, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mahle is battling a sore left hamstring that he suffered during his last start July 20. He hopes to be able to make his next start, and the fact that he was able to throw prior to the game is a positive sign. However, If Mahle is not ready in time for the outing, Lucas Sims is the likely candidate to take his turn in the rotation.

Mahle is dealing with a sore left hamstring but hopes to make his next start Wednesday in Milwaukee, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mahle apparently suffered the injury on his final pitch Friday against the Cardinals. That means he can't blame the injury for his poor numbers over his last three outings, where he's allowed 17 runs (13 earned) over 13.2 innings. His status should become clearer over the next few days.

Mahle didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 12-11 loss to the Cardinals, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.1 innings while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander appeared to be in complete control when he took a 7-0 lead into the sixth inning, but Mahle suddenly ran into trouble and the Reds bullpen simply poured more gas on the fire after he left, with the end result being a 10-run inning for St. Louis. Mahle will take a 4.93 ERA and 106:26 K:BB through 102.1 innings into his next start Wednesday in Milwaukee.

Mahle (2-8) took the loss against the Angels on Tuesday, completing five innings and giving up four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Mahle got off to a rough start when a deep fly ball to center field off the bat of Tommy La Stella rolled away and resulted in a leadoff inside-the-park home run, then fell further behind in the second inning after allowing a three-run shot to Luis Rengifo. Though the 24-year-old settled down to hold the Angels scoreless over his remaining three innings, the deficit proved to be too much to overcome for the Reds' offense. Mahle will carry a 4.35 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 84:20 K:BB into his next start, at home against Milwaukee on Monday.

Mahle allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and one walk across seven innings during a no-decision against the Astros on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
This was Mahle's best start in more than a month, but Astros starter Gerrit Cole pitched just a little bit better, so despite the Reds win, Mahle didn't receive the "W." Mahle did, though, drop his season ERA and improved his K/BB rate to 4.44. He remains 2-7 with a 4.17 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 80 strikeouts in 77.2 innings this season. Mahle will make his next start Tuesday at the Angels.

EDGE Analysis
It was the right-hander's shortest outing of the year -- Mahle had lasted at least five innings in each of his first dozen appearances. He'll carry a 4.46 ERA and 73:17 K:BB through 70.2 innings into his next start Wednesday, at home against the Astros.
