Shaw (foot) is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cardinals with a sore foot, and although his exit was deemed precautionary, he'll miss a second straight game because of the ailment. The soreness he's been dealing with is from fouling multiple balls off his foot recently, though it's still unclear how long the issue will affect his availability. Consider Shaw day-to-day; Hernan Perez will start at the hot corner in his place, batting second.

Shaw (foot) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Although his exit from Tuesday's game was deemed precautionary, Shaw will be forced to sit out the finale against St. Louis as Neil Walker shifts to third base and Jonathan Villar takes over at second. X-rays on Shaw's foot last week came back negative, but he's still dealing with soreness from several recent foul balls off the foot, and it's possible this will affect his availability for the beginning of the Nationals series.

Shaw exited Tuesday's game against the Cardinals as a precaution, as he has recently fouled a lot of pitches off his foot, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was 0-for-2 with two strikeouts prior to being lifted for Hernan Perez. It sounds like he is just day-to-day with a sore foot. Shaw's production has trailed off this month, hitting .237/.315/.400 with three home runs in 80 August at-bats entering play Tuesday.

Shaw (ankle) is in the lineup Friday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Fortunately, Shaw's minor ankle injury didn't force him to miss a game, as he's starting at the hot corner and hitting cleanup Friday night. Although Shaw's batting average for the last seven games is just .172, he seems to be exiting his minor slump, as he's hit a double and driven in a run in each of Milwaukee's last two contests.

X-rays on Shaw's foot came back negative, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is welcomed news for Shaw and the Brewers, as Wednesday's postgame tests seem to have cleared him of a more serious injury. He'll be listed as day-to-day for now, and with an off day for the Brewers on Thursday, he may not be forced to miss any action.

Shaw was sent for X-rays on his foot following Wednesday's game against the Giants, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw was in noticeable pain after fouling a ball off his foot in the ninth inning, and although he was able to finish the game, the Brewers will send him for tests to make sure everything checks out. Consider him day-to-day for now; more should be known once the test results are disclosed. With an off day Thursday, it's possible Shaw won't be forced to miss any action.

Shaw went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two strikeouts in Wednesday's win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old has now hit safely in nine straight games, and he's homered in two of his last three. Shaw missed a start over the weekend with a foot injury, and it's possible he will require additional maintenance in the near future, but it doesn't seem like the issue will limit him in any significant way moving forward.

Shaw (foot) is starting at third base and hitting cleanup Tuesday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
He missed one game with the minor foot injury, but will be back in the four hole for the opener of a two-game series against the Pirates, as expected. So far Shaw has avoided a repeat of 2016, when he collapsed in the second half. He is hitting .273/.351/.495 with a 27.9 percent strikeout rate and six home runs in 99 at-bats since the All-Star break.

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said he expects Shaw (foot) to play Tuesday against the Pirates, Carson Mason of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw is sitting out the series finale Sunday against the Reds after fouling a ball off his right foot a day earlier, which resulted in him leaving the stadium in a walking boot. X-rays cleared Shaw of any structural damage to the foot and it sounds like he's already seen his soreness subside, so with a couple days of rest, the expectation is that he'll be ready to reclaim a regular role at third base during the upcoming week. The newly acquired Neil Walker will cover the hot corner in Shaw's absence Sunday, but it's expected that Walker will see most of his starts at second base during the contests to follow.

Shaw (foot) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Shaw fouled two pitches off his right foot during Saturday's contest and was seen leaving the stadium in a walking boot. Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports that X-rays on his injured foot came back negative, but the third baseman remains in the boot. Neil Walker takes over at the hot corner Sunday with Shaw being a day-to-day case moving forward.
