Matz (5-1) allowed two runs on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts over six innings in a win Monday over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Since allowing seven runs in 1.2 innings in his first start, Matz has rattled off five consecutive quality starts, earning the win in each one. The only blemish on Matz's line was a Trayce Thompson fourth inning home run, which snapped an 18.1 innings scoreless streak for Matz dating back to April 29 against the Giants. His ERA is down to 2.86 as he has allowed just four runs in his past 33 innings (1.09 ERA).

Matz allowed just two hits and no runs with eight strikeouts and no walks over 7.2 innings against the Braves on Wednesday afternoon.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander has won four straight outings and currently owns a 13.2 scoreless innings streak. During that time, he has 12 strikeouts and three walks. After allowing seven runs in his first start, Matz has yielded just two runs in his last 27 frames. For the season, he has 30 strikeouts in 28.2 innings. Matz is scheduled to make his next start Monday against the Dodgers.

Matz tossed six shutout innings, allowing seven hits, and walking three, while striking out four as the Mets decimated the Giants 13-1 Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
After being shelled in his first start, Matz (3-1) has now held opponents to just a pair of runs over his last 19.1 innings. He needed 110 pitches (71 for strikes) to make it through six innings in this one, and the seven hits and three walks stand out, but with a huge lead, throwing strikes can make a pitcher somewhat more hittable. He'll try to keep things rolling with a favorable match-up against the Braves at home next time out.

Matz (2-1) allowed nine hits but just two runs over 6.1 innings in a victory over the Braves. He also struck out eight and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander had a nightmarish start in his first outing of the season, but since then, he has allowed two runs over his last 13.1 innings. Matz has also struck out 17 and walked just two during that time. His next scheduled start is Friday against the Giants.

Matz rebounded from his nightmarish first start by tossing seven shutout innings in a win Sunday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Matz allowed three hits while striking out a career-high nine batters and retired 12 of the final 13 batters he faced. His fastball sat in the 94-95 mph range and his curveball had more more bite than in his abbreviated first start.

Matz (0-1) took a beating from the Marlins, as he lost after allowing seven runs on six hits and two walks over 1.2 innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
All the damage came in the second inning, as Matz managed the first inning around only a Christian Yelich infield single. But after a pair of walks to lead off the second inning, Matz gave up four singles and a Giancarlo Stanton home run before he was removed. Matz's bad inning leaves him with a ridiculous 37.80 ERA after two starts, and no matter how well he pitches for the next month or two, this one will leave a mark.

Matz pitched five scoreless innings while allowing two walks and striking out six batters in a 8-1 victory over Chicago Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Matz is one of the Mets' most highly-touted prospects as in the minors, he holds a career 2.25 ERA over 380.2 innings to go along with 393 strikeouts. In his limited time in the majors last year, he continued to display his abilities as he posted a 2.27 ERA in 35.7 innings with 34 strikeouts. The Mets are stacked at starting pitching and Matz only enhances that talent pool. He'll likely be on an innings limit this year but even with that, the 24-year-old could offer great fantasy value given his track-record of producing in every pitching category.

Matz allowed one run on a hit and two walks while striking out three in three innings in his first spring start Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Matz had better than expected life and velocity on his fastball with a solid curveball in his outing. The Mets delayed that outing a week to make sure Matz was fresh after pitching deep in October last year. Matz will open 2016 as the Mets' fourth or fifth starter, ahead or behind Bartolo Colon.

Matz will start Game 4 of the World Series versus the Royals next Saturday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Matz will follow Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom, and Noah Syndergaard in the Mets' four-man rotation, from which manager Terry Collins won't deviate. Consequently, Matz may make his only appearance of the season-ending series in Game 4. In two starts (one loss) this postseason, he's been hit and miss, yielding four runs on 10 hits and four walks while striking out eight in 9.2 innings.

Matz (back) has been confirmed as the starting pitcher for the Mets in Game 4 of the NLDS Tuesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Matz has not pitched since Sept. 24 due to a sore back, but he will get back on the bump Tuesday night as the Mets try to clinch their opening-round series. Both Matz and the Mets hitters will have their work cut out for them squaring off against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.
